One fine day in Damyang, an old man in his 60’s was going for his morning walk when a disgusting smell of burning flesh hit his nostrils… being curious old man he is, he followed the smell only to see some trash burning in an abandoned alley but what shocked him to his core was… there was human bones burning along with the trash… the old man wasted no time before calling the cops

“The body is totally burned… the only information we have so far is that this body belongs to a 24-25 year old male who have been brutally murdered” The forensic lab doctor explained the report to the investigating senior officer who was eyeing the cut down body feeling pity for the poor soul, how can someone murder a person by literally cutting the body into pieces? he was in his deep thoughts when one of the officer came running towards them he was in such a hurry that he didn't even bother to knock the door “Officer Jung Hoseok Sir Officer Jung Hoseok sir sir sir siiiirrrrrrrrrr, there is no report of any missing person in the entire Damyang…” the officer continued while still panting heavily “means If we don't get any evidence then we have to declare this body an unidentified and close this case”
Hoseok sighed “Wow officer Kim I never knew it. Thank you so much for enlightening me with such valuable information… Now gather the team ready and start looking for all the CCTV cameras in that area… I want the footage report within two hours and also don't enter without knocking again” Taehyung cutely glared at his senior with an angry pout “Okay sir, i am sorry” he bowed and left not before mumbling endless curses to his rude ass senior “I can hear you” Taehyung eyes widened and he turned around giving a cheesy smile to the older male and ran out of the room while mumbling endless sorries which made the senior officer shook his head but there was a faint smile on his face that didn't go unnoticed by the lab doctor aka his best friend Min Yoongi
“Taehyung is a sweet kid right?” Yoongi asked, wiggling his eyebrows, making Hoseok look at him with a done face “Yeah, he is definitely a kid like seriously who bitches about their senior in front of their face thinking they won't hear it, like really ?” Yoongi laughed wholeheartedly “Because he is a precious little angel with a habit of mumbling” that definitely made Hoseok to give his best friend his special bombastic side eye “aren't you praising him too much, don't tell me you like him?”
Yoongi looked at his best friend with a done face before smacking the back of his head “Not only like I would have definitely married him and bubble wrapped him safely in my pocket if I wasn't head over heels for that hamster… but just so you know it's hard to find such a innocent, adorable handsome person like Taehyung who clearly likes you but you dumbass” saying that he again smacked his best friend's head
“Yahhhh hyung we are at work don't do thissss” Hoseok whined while rubbing the place where Yoongi hit him twice “And about Taehyung… I agree he is a nice guy but you know that my heart only belongs to someone who even though doesn't love me back or even care for me still I don't think I will ever be able to love someone who is not him” Yoongi sighed and hugged his best friend “I know buddy but for how long? He doesn't love you the way you do… and I feel like it's the high time to accept it buddy”
Hoseok sadly smiled “Do you really think it's that easy?” Yoongi was about to say something in order to comfort him but before he could a Tsunami I mean Taehyung walked inside the lab forgetting to knock again “Sir sir sir sir siiiirrrrrrrrrrrr… please have a look at this footage” Hoseok looked at him with a done face while Yoongi facepalmed himself “What did I tell you about knocking Taehyung” Yoongi mouthed the younger male to apologise before this rude ass again start scolding that poor soul “I am sooooooooooooooooo sorrrrrrrrry sir… I just got excited…” Hoseok was about to say something when Taehyung interrupted him again “you can scold me last now please look at this footage… we found a big evidence” he excitedly started like he has won some national award or something
Hoseok shook his head knowing it's totally useless to tell him anything and motioned him to come forward and show them what ‘big evidence’ he got… Taehyung happily came forward and showed him the footage of last night near that abandoned alley and spotted a white lavish Hyundai Porter “This is the only vehicle spotted in that area now see this” he turned on another CCTV footage where that same white Porter moving out of that alley “This is the only vehicle/people who were stopped in that location in the entire night… We have already tracked the car plate number and found that it belongs to the Seoul University professor Dehoe Kang…”
Hoseok gave a satisfactory humm to the information provided by the younger officer who smiled widely hoping to get a little praising just a small good job or well done would be enough for him but too his disappointment the only reaction he got was a approving nod, his smile was replaced by a sad pout but looking at Yoongi giving him big thumbs up from behind Hoseok made him happy again
“Pack your bags officer Kim we will continue the investigation from Seoul… also you can take the half day off and I will do the arrangements of our departure” Taehyung squatted with happiness and started clapping his hands “Yes yes finally my first big mission… thank you so much Officer Jung I promise I won't disappoint you” saying that he bowed at both of his seniors and ran out of the room
Hoseok shook his head “How did he even become a officer with his level of childishness” that made Yoongi roll his eyes and again smacked his best friend's head “Still he does know what he is doing and completes his every task before time you should be proud of that kid, idiot” Hoseok didn't respond to this and just went back to his work
