Chapter 8

"Yaar...I didn't know the cake was flying to my side. If I so, I would have definitely caught it, even if it meant diving into the pool!" Yash said, while Arjun stared at him.

Yash still felt something greasy on his face, while he said, "I actually came out hearing a scream...in fact two people screamed..."

"Screamed? Who?"

"One sounded like Adi Bhai. The other one was a girl's scream. But Mahi isn't at home right?"

"Must be Zoya only then. This Bhai must have done something...I need justice for my cake's death today! Come!"

Arjun walked to Aditya's room, while Yash followed him.

"Bhai! Bhai!"

Arjun called out and saw that Aditya was not in his room. Yash saw that the washroom light was on.

"He is still having his shower?"

Arjun walked to the washroom and knocked the door, "Bhai!! Come out!"

There was no response from Aditya, and Arjun asked Yash, "Did he get dissolved in the shower? He is showering for more than half an hour now."

"Bhai...what are you doing for so long inside? Come out..." Yash knocked the door, while he added, "If there is still no response from you, we will have to break the door...Bhai!"

The door opened slowly and they saw no one inside. Arjun and Yash went inside the washroom and looked for Aditya. As they looked around, they spotted Aditya sitting beside the washroom door on the floor, still in his towel.

"What are you doing here? And why are you sitting like this?" Yash asked, while Aditya looked down with an embarrassed look.

Arjun squatted down and looked at Aditya, "Such a big room and you choose to sit here? Paa gave some punishment for what you did last night, by closing the valve to your bathroom? What's up with you, Bhai?"

"What's wrong with everyone, yaar?" Yash asked, "Zoya was running as if some catastrophic calamity occurred, and here he is sitting like is possessed by something..."

"Zoya...ran away?" Aditya asked looking up, while Yash nodded his head, "Yeah Bhai. She seemed so petrified as if she saw some ghost."

Aditya closed his eyes and clutched his hair. What else did he expect? But he wondered how was he going to do damage control to this. He didn't even know how will he even face her thereafter.

Yash too squatted next to Arjun, "By the way Bhai, I also heard you scream...and probably the other scream was Zoya's. Why did you both scream?"

"Yash...it's like..." Aditya stammered, as he recalled his embarrassing encounter with Zoya. How much ever times he recalled it, he felt more and more embarrassed. He said, "Zoya..."

"Zoya what?" Arjun asked, "She literally dashed on me throwing me in the water, and destroyed my cake. She didn't even stop by to tell a sorry. Did you scare her or something?"

Scared her. That was somewhat true. He felt. He would say that he probably traumatized her. He ruined all the good image he created last night, with something extremely traumatizing.

"Bhai!" Arjun snapped his fingers, while Aditya looked up at him, "Tell something?"

Aditya looked at Arjun, "Actually...Zoya...she...she saw me and got scared...!"

"Saw you and get scared??" Yash asked, "What's there to get scared looking at you?"

"Exactly...as if you were in some Halloween costume..." Arjun said, while Aditya clarified, "No...I mean...she saw me...as I am!"

"What is he talking yaar Ajju? I am not understanding anything!" Yash sat with crossed legs on the floor, and looked at him.

"Saw you as you are means?" Arjun asked with a confused look, "As if you were in Spiderman avatar these many days, and she saw your unmasked face today. Bhai, you are seriously testing our patience now...tell us clear cut what happened!"

Aditya moved forward to both Yash and Arjun, and leaned forward, while Yash and Arjun too leaned forward to listen.

"I was in my towel..." Aditya said in a low tone, "I was dancing...and it fell down, while...Zoya...Zoya too...came in!"

Yash and Arjun gasped, as they covered their mouths with their hands as they moved back in reflex, while Aditya covered his face and buried his face on his knees.

How is Zoya coming out of this trauma? 😁 Aditya couldn't have given her a welcome more embarrassing than this, after all the efforts he did convincing her for friendship! 🙈 Will this distance Aditya and Zoya, or....maybe, build some more closeness between them? 😉❤️ What do you think?
