It was a rainy morning in Mumbai, and one of the busiest residential streets was bustling with people going to the office and school in the morning.

"Noor!!"

Noor's mother, Saira's voice echoed in the house. It was a family with a lot of people, of different age groups. In short, it was a house that was never quiet.

Saira walked upstairs to a room with a plate and huffed looking at the room. The room was scattered with things all over and clothes spread on the bed.

"Look at the way she has kept her room. Bachelor's accommodation looks neater than this!"

Just then a small boy walked outside playing with a small ball.

"Hey Faizal, where is your sister?"

Hearing that, Saira's co-sister Nafeesa came out of her bedroom saying, "When has that girl ever stayed at home? I almost forgot her face. She should have probably been born as a guy."

Saira just ignored it and asked Faizal, "Tell me, where is she? Did she come home last night?"

"Badi Ammi, Noor Baaji left early morning for college."

She looked at the clock, "At 7 itself? But why?"

She walked to Noor's balcony, which faced a row of houses. She called out from the balcony at the balcony opposite her, "Zoya...Zoya...!"

"Zoya is not home, Saira. I saw her leaving early with her college bag." Another neighbor told Saira, from the ground floor of her home.

"Hmmm..." Saira smirked, "I am sure...these girls are up to something!"

By the Marine Drive, Noor came out of an Ice Cream shop holding a Choco Bar packet and crossed the door, while holding an umbrella. She reached the rocks and called out, "Oyee Madhubala! Here is your ice cream...that shopkeeper was giving me such a weird look for ordering ice cream in this rain!"

Zoya turned back at Noor, as she moved her umbrella and had a wide smile at her. She was sitting by the rocks, with her portable speaker in her hand, listening to the FM.

Noor sat next to her holding the umbrella and handed over the ice cream to her, "You and your crazy fantasies, Zoya! Ice cream by the beach...that too in the rain. I am sure your throat is going to punish you tomorrow."

Zoya opened the ice cream wrapper and placed her umbrella between her arm and hip, as she said with a smile, "Nothing will happen. You know this is one of my bucket list activities. I have so many such desires, Noor."

Zoya munched on her ice cream looked at the sea and said, "You know right, Noor, Abbu was very strict with me since young. He never let me enjoy anything I wished for. It was all his instructions and orders. I always craved a lot of simple joys in life, which I am just getting to enjoy now."

Noor smiled, "Darling, even I want you to experience some exciting and thrilling events in life. I mean, even more than this. I mean look at your life now...books, poems, library, speaking in such a Hindi which only I understand." Noor rolled her eyes, while Zoya chuckled, "And trust me, your love life is what I am looking forward to the most!"

Zoya looked at her with a funny expression, while Noor said, "Zoya, just imagine! You are this Vivaah movie Poonam type of a girl. Just imagine if you get a guy straight opposite to you...what will happen?"

Zoya laughed, "No way! My marriage will be my choice...and my future husband should be calm, quiet, decent, and well-behaved just like me. And I will make sure he loves our culture and our traditions...I am sure Allah will show me such a guy soon!"
