--[Jack]--

14 days before the outbreak.

Breakfast.
It wasn't much of one, really.
I sat at the table with my family, poking the plate with my fork, a blank expression on my face, unchanging.

"So, you got any chicks yet?" My dad asked me, I dropped my fork, holding the bridge of my snout with my index and thumb

"Dad." I grunted, I didn't groan or sigh, I just said it with a frustration in my voice.

I looked at him with a look that said "you know what you're doing", but he just looked back, confused.

I grunted.
"I'm gonna go."

"Leaving so soon?" My father attempted to stall my departure, grabbing my arm, I nearly hit my head on the wall, I tore my arm from his grip, despite my build, I was strong.

"I have to shit." I growled under my breath.

I just made an excuse to return to my room.

I flopped onto my bed after locking my door.

I'm a white Siberian husky, male, of a slim-ish build, with blue eyes, and a pretty fluffy tail.

I'm gay, but not looking for a relationship.
At least not for now.
I whipped out my phone and opened discord, tapping on the top contact, being that of one of my closest friends, the only one I really talk to anymore.

"Bliz, I'm fucking bored, can we do something?"

"I thought you were eating breakfast with your family?"

"You know damn fucking well I couldn't give a single shit about them."

"Wow, alright."
"Meet up at starbucks?"

"Fine."

I parked outside the local Starbucks, stepping out of my car, locking it, and making my way inside.
It wasn't super busy inside, but there were customers.

I observed my surroundings, the cafe was pretty large, the back wall of the room was - mostly - taken up by a counter with a few animals taking orders, only a few of the dozens of seats were taken by a few animals.

I made my way to the counter, a female, energetic Border Collie greeting me, tail a blur, she was a close friend of mine and Bliz's; Luna, she worked here every weekday, taking only the weekends off.

"Hiya Jack!" She waved high

"Hey Loon." I sighed.

"The usual, please." I rubbed some sleep from my eyes, it was still early.

"On it!" She turned and began to make my order as it was too early for the employees to set up all the food in the glass display. I left the counter and found a seat to wait.

The bells of the main entrance chimed, signaling the entrance of someone; Blizzard, or Bliz for short.

He didn't order, instead, swung himself into a seat across from me
"'Sup." He smirked

"Hey."
"Not gonna order?"

"Not hungry."

"'Kay." I shrugged awkwardly

"Order for Jack McAllister!" Luna beamed, I got up and returned to the counter

"Thanks Loon." I took my order and returned to my seat, she smiled.

"What's up your ass?" Bliz asked as I sat back down

"What do you mean?"

"You're being so weird, dude."

"..Tired." I took a sip of my drink.

"Family bothering you again?"
