Zoya smiled, impressed. "You're quite direct. I mean, refreshingly straightforward."

Aditya laughed. "That's me. In fact, let me be even more direct. Your heart's beauty shines through your face. After my mother, aunt, grandmothers, and sister, you're the most beautiful woman I've ever met—inside and out."

Zoya was taken aback by his sudden, sincere compliment. She didn't know how to react, while Aditya, slightly embarrassed, avoided her gaze and focused on the rain.

"Uh... thank you," Zoya said awkwardly. Then, curiosity got the better of her, and she asked, "But how did you come to that conclusion? That I have a beautiful heart?"

Aditya smiled. "I've answered one of your questions. If you want to know any more, you'll have to unlock by accepting my apology."

Zoya raised an eyebrow. "Oh, so now it's a deal?"

Aditya shrugged. "No deal. You're free to not accept my apology, but if you do, you'll get more answers."

They both turned away, looking out at the rain. Zoya's mind was bustling with curiosity.

Very clever. He's said just enough to make me curious. Now, if I forgive him, he'll think I'm one of those girls who needs to know what a guy thinks about her.

Aditya, meanwhile, hid a smirk.

Girls can control almost anything, but not the urge to know more about themselves. I might be specializing in cardiology, but I am pretty much good in psychology too!

"Ahem..." Zoya cleared her throat, catching his attention.

"Look, I'm not accepting your apology just because I want to know the answer," she said, flipping her hair back and trying to seem nonchalant. Aditya fought back a grin.

"In fact," Zoya continued, "I had already decided to forgive you. I just didn't want to do it like this, in this situation. But yeah, I forgive you for what happened."

Aditya chuckled. "Well, thank you! I've finally been relieved after days of guilt." He leaned back, returning to his view of the rain.

Zoya glanced at him, waiting for him to say more. But he didn't. Was he serious? He is back to admiring the rain? She wondered.

"Well..." Zoya prompted, "You said you'd tell me something if I accepted your apology, remember?"

Aditya looked at her innocently, "Uhhh, you mean thanking you?"

"No, no... You said you'd give me an answer..." Zoya scratched her head, trying to recall his exact words. "You will... you know..."

Aditya pretended to be confused. "Which answer?"

"Mandbuddhi..." Zoya muttered under her breath.

"What was that?" Aditya frowned.

Zoya quickly smiled, "Nothing... I was just appreciating your memory."

Annoyed, Zoya stood up, walking toward the window, while Aditya chuckled quietly.

"I realized you had a beautiful heart when you offered to accompany a complete stranger to the hospital, just to support him getting his voice back."

Zoya froze at the window, a light smile playing on her lips. She turned to see Aditya walking toward her.

"I confirmed it when I remembered how you were willing to tutor a guy at his home even when you were having a bad health, just because your friend requested it. You went completely out of your comfort zone for someone else. That level of respect for Mahi's feelings—it was amazing."
