Now I'm standing in front of my dad, receiving a scolding and mentally kicking myself.

"Young lady, get ready because your flight is tomorrow morning."

"What, Dad?"

"You can't just send me off like that; I haven't had your cooking. You promised to make me my favorite spaghetti and meatballs with your homemade sauce."

"Okay, I'll cook your favorite dish tonight, no excuses. Tomorrow morning is your flight, and here are your passport and flight ticket. Don't cause any drama, okay?"

"Don't worry, I'm a woman of my word, and I'm a Harper."

I grabbed my phone and called my silliest friend, who answered after three rings.

"Hey, get ready."

"For what?"

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning."

"What?!"

"Thanks to you, my dad moved up the date."

"Sorry, Sneaky."

"Are you coming with me or not? Did uncle agree to let you study with me in Italy?"

"Yes, he agreed when I told him you'd be there with me. I don't know why he trusts you more than his own daughter."

"Because between you and me, I'm the only one with a brain.""Okay, have you packed your luggage?"

"Not yet."

"Are you kidding me, Cam? Pack your luggage and rest up; tomorrow will be a long day."

I didn't tell her what happened last night. I'll tell her on the flight.

I savored my favorite dish, cooked by my father, to my heart's content.

"Papa, I'm going to miss your cooking."

"Not me?"

"I'll miss you more than mom, Papa."

"I know. Have fun, enjoy life, but don't neglect your studies. You know we'll always be there for you, even in a storm. Don't hesitate to call us; we're just one call away."

I know, Papa. That's when my mom came from the kitchen with a plate of fruit.

"Don't accept anything from strangers, Sneaky."

"Don't worry, Mom, I'm not a child."

"I think a kidnapper wouldn't have enough money to feed you, okay, Sneaky?"

"See, Papa", what Mrs. Harper is saying about me.

But she is saying truth, Sneaky.

Papaaaa

Okay, okay.

Your are precious treasure, we wouldn't trade you for even a trillion million good things.

I know Papa and Mama.

Don't I'll be a good girl and come back with a master's degree who knows may be a husband and a kid.
