Despite that, Izuku knew he still had to be careful as backing up and dodging might still get him removed from the fight if he were to accidentally get out of bounds. Not only that, but just dodging wouldn't be entertaining, nor prove his worth to anyone watching, so he'd have to figure out the best time to attack.
From the looks of it, only his arms were steel, and if he had to guess, the more his of his body he turns to steel, the less powerful he gets. Obviously, it makes him stronger, but if his power is similar to Kirishima's, it means the usage will be less effective.
Izuku couldn't overthink it, knowing that was one of his weaknesses. Whether or not Tetsutetsu has or hadn't hardened every part of his body was unknown to him, so he'd just have to risk going for it.
Once he saw an opening, he aimed for Tetsutetsu's gut, causing the Beta to stumble back, meaning Izuku's guess was correct. Since Tetsutetsu seemed to have been weakened, Izuku aimed for another hit, but the Beta was able to grab his wrist and instead slugged him in the face.
Seeing that angered Katsuki in the crowd, almost causing him to want to jump back in there and beat the shit out of Tetsutetsu for hitting Izuku like that, but what he had saw afterward made him control his urges.
Izuku smiled at Tetsutetsu with blood running down his cheek.
It made the Alpha think back to his and Izuku's fight, when the Omega had kicked him in the face and Katsuki smiled at him to show that he was okay. Izuku was copying the move! Did he know he was watching him?
Seeing that, Tetsutetsu realized Izuku was no ordinary Omega. Sure, that was already prevalent through the initial fight alone, but the fact that he took a fist to the face and smiled at it meant something completely different. He'd never fought someone with this much resilience to his strength before.
They exchanged more blows back and forth, and soon enough as Izuku predicted, Tetsutetsu's movements had slowed down even more, along with his quirk usage. Throughout the fight, Izuku made sure to use as little One For All as he could to not break himself, as going too far would result in arms and legs that couldn't function. But as of right now, he was still in his prime.
Tetsutetsu wouldn't be able to keep up as he overpowered himself too much at the beginning of the fight. Just a few more hits and the victory would be Izuku's. While this may not be a final fight, it still would be a game changer as an Omega had never won a fight, let alone participated in one.
Izuku landed a few more hits in key areas, and while Tetsutetsu managed to block a few of them, even his blocks had started to weaken. It didn't take long for the Beta to fall to his knees and eventually tip over onto his back, resulting in Izuku getting his win.
Though it was unexpected and came out of nowhere as no one had foreseen a fight involving an Omega to happen, the crowd had cheered, practically roaring at the history that had been made before their eyes. Even the announcer and professor up in their booth exclaimed in joy over the turn of events.
"And the winner is Midoriya Izu-!" The announcer began to shout out through the mic.
That was until a strong, booming voice had silenced him and the entire crowd of people.
"Enough!"
Once it was dead silent, Izuku slowly turned back to see the man who had interrupted the tournament. He was up in the booth, just behind the professor and the announcer.
The announcer turned off the microphone once again, and in fear pointed towards the professor, "This was Aizawa's idea, I had nothing to do with it."
"Silence." He spoke, and though his voice was much softer this time, it still gave off an eerie feeling.
He walked forward, making his presence known. Izuku had never seen the principal in person before, but now he figured out why people felt uneasy around him.
Compared to the other two next to him, he practically towered over them. His hair was short and white and his eyes glowed red. Izuku tended to find comfort in red eyes, such as Katsuki's, but this man had a different look to his. Staring at them felt as though he was a devil consuming your soul, making you weaker and weaker the longer you looked.
"So, you're the Omega I've been hearing all about." He began to speak, not using a microphone as his voice was loud enough to reach even the farthest audience members, "People have been raving about you. I just knew I had to see it for myself. After all, I didn't know Omega's were allowed to complete..." He glossed his eyes over to Aizawa, and while a smile stayed on his face, the professor knew if it weren't for the amount of people around him, he'd be dead that instant.
"If you don't mind, Midoriya, I'd like to speak with you in private. I'm rather intrigued by you. Aizawa, Yamada, continue the tournament as is. This shouldn't take long."
Before the principal left the booth, Aizawa stood up and bowed towards him, "With all due respect sir, neither I nor Yamada had anything to do with this. Midoriya came onto the field on his own free will. However, he is a student of mine and I'm willing to take responsibility but please don't punish him harshly. I believe he just wanted a fair chance like the rest of my students."
The principal turned back to him with a confused look, "Punish? Who said anything about punishment? Nobody's in trouble, I just wish to talk to him is all!" He laughed to lighten the mood.
It didn't work. The two in the booth were still uneasy after the interaction.
Izuku didn't know what to think or how to feel, but seeing as how even the oldest adults in the auditorium were afraid of that man, he feared what would happen when meeting him in private.
At first, breaking into the tournament seemed like a good idea.
But now... Was it all worth it?
