The woman let out an ear shattering shriek as the chainsaw came down upon her. Blood splattered everywhere as Kiku smiled in satisfaction. On the other side of him, Melody trembled in fear and horror. One hand covered her eyes, the other painfully gripping Kiku's arm. Not that he minded;she was adorable when she trembled. Oh heck, she was adorable all the time.
"W-why did we h-have to see this m-movie?" asked fearfully, flinching as another scream was heard. He shrugged indifferently, not wanting to look away from the bloodbath ensuing on screen. He was just glad they got tickets in 3D. After thirty more minutes of blood splattering, screaming, chainsaws, and Melody's occasional screams and yelps, the movie was over. People began leaving by the dozens with exclamations of horror heard everywhere as the theater light came back on. Kiku was left ... unsatisfied.
"Whew! That was terrifying, huh?" Melody asked, wiping sweat fron her brow.
"There could've been more blood," Kiku stated honestly. He kinda felt disappointed. Surely more people could've died than that!
"Wow, really?" Melody asked, in awe. "Kiku Honda, you have nerves of steel."
He stood up, brushing the popcorn off of him before shoving his 3D glasses in his pocket. He'd add those to his collection later.
"Alrighty, let's get out of here before the chainsaw freak pops outta the screen and kills us all," she exclaimed with a slight chuckle, heading for the exit. But why would she say something like that? Didn't she know Kiku would never let anyone lay a finger on her? He grabbed her wrist, stopping her momentarily. She looked back at him curiously.
"You know I'd never let anyone hurt you, right?" he assured. She shot him a peculiar look.
"Thanks for the support, Kiku. But I was only joking! Calm down!" she teased, grabbing a hold of his wrist instead, leading him toward the exit. He let her drag him; it felt kind of nice.
"Come on! You're gonna win me a teddy bear at that carnival!"
                      . . . . . . . .
"That was your last try," the man said behind the stand counter. "It's another fifty cents for five more." Melody crouched on the ground, defeated. They had been playing the same game for at least an hour, trying to win the giant stuffed panda that hung above them. Kiku didn't mind that much at first, but then when the fat, greasy man began smirking whenever Melody would miss, he'd get a bit annoyed. Now here she was, sighing on the ground in defeat, and he was asking her for more money?! A simple game of darts shouldn't have been that costly! And she just wanted a stupid stuffed panda! How greedy could one person be?! He was getting her that panda.
"Hey, do you want me to get you that panda?" he whispered, crouching down to see her face clearly.
"I don't know, I think we should just forget about it. I don't wanna spend up all our money in just one place. But oh jeez! I really want that panda!" she whined. He shot her a small smile. She was so cute when she was flustered!
"Hey, give me fifty cents. I'll get you that panda," he assured, putting a hand affectionately on her shoulder. She gave him a sad smile, before digging into her pocket and pulling out two quarters.
"Well, if your that sure, go on ahead," she said, plopping them into his palm. Getting up, He gave the man his money and grabbed his set of darts as Melody watched curiously inn the background. He'd make sure to impress her.
"Hit the bullseye, kid. And try not to miss," he advised sleezily.
"I assure you I won't," Kiku shot back with a slight grimace. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, he relaxed his shoulders. He opened his eyes.

WHACK!

WHACK!

WHACK!

WHACK!

WHACK!
All five darts were sticking out of the very center of the bullseye, still rattling from the impact. From behind him, Melody let out an awestruck gasp. He was happy he had pleased her. However, the man just smirked and chuckled.
"Sorry, but you won't be getting any panda today, kiddo," he announced. Kiku couldn't stop himself from showing his retaliation.
"Why NOT?" he blurted, eyes turning to burning glares of fire. He didn't need his looks to kill.
"You didn't wait until I said go; therefore, it doesn't count," the man explained, staring at them with a certain stuck-up smirk that really struck some nerves.
"Oh come on! That's not even fair!" Melody whined in the background. Oh no! I've failed to impress her! Kiku suddenly wasn't feeling so good.
"Looky here, kid. My booth, my rules! Now scram brat! Unless, of.course, you're willing to pay more money," he commanded. Kiku was about to reach over the counter and strangle him, before Melody grabbed his arm rather forcefully and pulled him away.
"Look, I know you're probably frustrated, but you can't let sleeze balls like him get to you," she explained in an annoyed tone.
"B-but, I said I was going to get you that panda," he replied, utterly ashamed and frustrated that he didn't get her what she wanted. It made him look bad. Stopping abruptly, she turned around and grabbed him by his shoulders, slightly shaking him.
"Yes, I know. And to be honest, you were really cool," she comforted, "but I doubt he would've ever given it to us. He was just trying to make a quick . It's his fault, not your's." Kiku looked at the ground, glaring at his feet. I know she's just saying that! I can tell she's disappointed! He felt hinself break into a cold sweat. Melody sighed, patting his back comfortingly.
"Come on, let's go check out some rides...".
