Lukas PoV

My name is Luka Bane, myself and my twin brother Lucas are sixteen but we are turning seventeen in two weeks. We are attending our senior year in Bridgetown high. Turning seventeen is usually an exciting time for most but we are not most unfortunately, we have lived alone for the past ten months and nobody knows this. Our best and most used excuse when asked about our home life is that our parents work together and work long hours while also having to leave on business trips, it's not uncommon in the town we live in so its believable thankfully. Another problem we face is we are werewolves and will have our first full shift on the night of our birthday, along with this we will come into the age where we meet our mates. This won't happen for us because we now live in a town full of humans and plan to never return to any pack lands ever again in fear of being caught by our parents murderers.

"Lucas are you ready yet, breakfast is on the table?" I shout for my bro getting no answer, getting impatient from having called him too many times I go to the bottom of the stairs "hurry the fuck up Lucas I'm loosing it now, I've called you five times we're going to be late". Finally I hear a thud so I know it's him falling out of the bed so I start to eat.

Lucas PoV

'Jesus he's loud, I'm coming already' I think to myself. I fall out of the bed literally and groan, getting up I start to get ready. In our school I'm a shy little loser unlike Luka he's pretty popular, loved by jocks and girls oh and sometimes boys I might add. Me I am just too shy for everyone, although, I'm never bullied or left out because of my overprotective bro, he makes sure we are together at all times, we have all our classes together and his friends include me as a part of him, aka if you are asking Luka just expect Lucas too. The only time I'm left alone is when he has basketball practice after school, mostly he insists I watch but I get to go to the library some days to study.

I finally trod downstairs to be greeted with a good morning hug as usual and a check over to make sure I didn't hurt myself falling out of the bed. I mean I'm a werewolf for flips sake that's not going to hurt me but he loves me and takes care of me so I allow it because I love him too. "Good morning I love you" he says like every morning, I always reply "like I love you, good mornin bro". I eat cereal and bring a slice of toast in the car and we're off for another fun filled day, sarcastic much?

Walking into school ten minutes later we are surrounded by Lukas three friends, Tim, Josh and Laney. Laney is first up to us giving Luka a huge hug, she used to try hug me but I would blush so hard and hide behind my bro so she eventually left me alone, "hi guys how are my fav twins today" she says to which Tim rolls his eyes and Josh says "they're the only twins you know you mad woman" while laughing. "Aww Joshy don't ruin it, I love you too" she replies making him blush, one that she either ignored or doesn't notice, I think it's the former anyone can see he loves her more than a friend. With this we all go to our classes for the day promising to meet at lunch. The day passes uneventful. After school Luka and I head home, do homework and head to our shared bedroom and fall into bed.

Half an hour later it starts, I become sweaty and have flash backs of the screaming, banging and crashing. Trying to be brave I think to myself 'I swear if only for one night I will stay put in my own bed', "Lucas come to my bed I can hear you whimpering and its breaking my heart, you know my bed is more comfy so come on over" Luka says. Not wasting one second I dash across the room into my brothers waiting arms and as always feel safer immediately, "I'm sorry Luka I wish I was braver and less shy so you could be happy without having to look after me all the time-" " hey" he interrupts me "I am always happy once you are, I know you know that, I'll be here to hold you forever ok now sleep I love you bro" "thanks Luka I love you too goodnight".
