Beyoncé finished setting up her classroom at the daycare. This was her first year of teaching and she loved it. She had a small class of fifteen children. Today was Friday which meant that they were going to be chilling. The scripture for today was Luke 6:31.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
It was exactly seven o'clock in the morning and soon parents would be dropping their children off. Beyoncé opened the door to her classroom, ready to start her day. Five minutes later, her favorite students, Leigh-Anne, Megan, Normani, and Lizzo, showed up. Like always they were accompanied by Beyoncé's little sister, Solange. Ms. Bey!" Megan, Normani, Leigh-Anne, and Lizzo screamed. The four little girls ran to Beyoncé with huge smiles on their faces.
"Hello girlies!" Beyoncé bent down and hugged the four and five year olds. "How are we doing this morning?" She sat down on the ground criss-cross.
"Tired." Lizzo stated as she took a seat in Beyoncé's lap. She was always tired. Everyday her answer would always be the same. It didn't matter what time they got there, Lizzo always tried to sneak in a few minutes of sleep.
"Great! Look at the new dragon I got, teacher!" Megan shoved the small, blue, stuffed dragon into Beyoncé's direct view. Megan was a very hyper child. Probably the most hyper child Beyoncé has ever taught. She was always on the go, bouncing off the walls.
"Oh" Beyoncé moved her head back, so she wouldn't get hit in the face with the stuffed animal. "What's his, her, or their name?"
"Stuffy!" She jumped up in the air. "He's from Doc Mcstuffins. See?" Megan pointed to the red collar on Stuffy's neck.
"Oh yes. I see. He is very cute just like you." Beyoncé tickled the girl's tummy. Megan ran away giggling. She ran right to Solange who immediately picked her up. "Leigh-Anne, how are you doing?" Beyoncé asked the small curly brunette who was holding up her small stack of three books. Leigh-Anne was a bookworm. She always had her nose in a book.
"I'm doing good." Leigh-Anne smiled.
Normani nudged her oldest sister. "Leelee, It's well. You're doing well, not good. Say it." She tried to whisper, but everyone heard.
"Oh." Leigh-Anne turned to her teacher. "I'm doing well." She gave Beyoncé a thumbs up.
"Very good you two." Beyoncé booped Leigh-Anne's nose, causing Leigh-Anne to scrunch her nose. "What are you reading today, Leigh-Anne?"
Leigh-Anne handed the books over to Beyoncé. "I Look Up To... Michele Obama", "If you give a mouse a cookie", and "Anna Carries Water."
"Oh. Those are great books to read." Beyoncé leaned in closer. "I'll give everyone five extra minutes of reading time because you brought in such amazing books."
Leigh-Anne hugged her teacher. "Thank you Ms. Bey!"
"You're welcome. Let's put these books up, so we don't lose them." Beyoncé held up her opposite hand for the backpack. She was still holding Lizzo with the other one.
"Okay." Leigh-Anne nodded and handed Beyoncé her backpack that had a picture of Banana Joe from The amazing world of gumball on it.
Beyoncé and Leigh-Anne put the books in the backpack together. Beyoncé zipped it up and put it back on to the curly haired brunette. "Normani, how are you doing this morning?" She ruffled the ravenette's hair.
"My hair!" Normani squealed, and Beyoncé laughed. She huffed and quickly fixed her hair. She had plaits with clear beads at the end. "I am doing very well. Ms. Solo let us listen to trap music this morning." Normani was the leader of the group and the most level headed one. Although she was the youngest, She usually acted as if she was the oldest child.
