"Love is a feeling of betrayal; most ignorant people fall hard for it. By the time they realize its true nature, it's far too late-they have already lost their most precious thing..."

The night was heavy with silence.
Olivia stood on the patio of her marital home, her mother's worn journal pressed tightly against her chest.

The air was still, save for the sigh of wind that brushed through the curtains behind her. She stared at the house for the last time, letting her gaze wander across the walls that once echoed with laughter and tender promises.

Each memory hit her like a phantom ache-her wedding to Marcus, bright and naïve; the cries of her newborn daughter, Megan; the endless storms that followed. It all lingered now, fragile and fading.

"Let's go, elder sister. We have a long road ahead," Ivana's voice drifted through the dim light, soft yet insistent.Olivia turned slowly. Ivana stood by the cab, her eyes full of concern she dared not speak aloud.

Olivia's silence spoke of wounds too deep for comfort. She gave a faint nod and stepped into the vehicle, settling into the corner seat with her journal clutched to her heart.Ivana followed quietly.

The air between them was wordless but heavy-grief and affection woven together in strained stillness. As the taxi hummed to life, Olivia rested her temple against the windowpane. The world outside slipped by in shadows.

The night stretched endlessly-a mirror of her own emptiness. Her eyelids fluttered shut. Faces and moments she had tried to bury erupted behind them-Ivana's patient eyes, their father's voice fading into memory, and Marcus... the man who had once been her entire world.

Rain devoured the world that day.
A slender girl knelt before a mound of fresh earth, fists clenched, her body trembling beneath the torrent. Each drop struck harshly, washing away her strength but not her sorrow.
