MARS

In the cold empty darkness, Star was alone. She was there for so long, even before the sun shone.

She would float and fly, her navy blue hair swaying against gravity, waiting to die but that time never came, in fact, she had so much time that eventually, she saw the sun shine, Venus form, Saturn grow its rings and Neptune become blue.
Trillions and more years of evolution Star had witnessed, although not much changed about the cold darkness, the only difference was that it wasn't empty anymore, it was just... silent.

Star had assumed that space was done developing until Mars formed. The murky red planet.
But that wasn't all, what surprised Star was that a population also formed with it.

Mars didn't like that, the planet wanted his land mysterious, and uninhabited, so he cursed his people. He cursed them with strangely shaped heads like triangles, hexagons, squares and spheres. He cursed them with octopus arms or fishtails or even no skin.
The curse mostly affected the children who grew up with TV, he made them believe that money was the key.

And it was terrible as the skinniest of bodies looked upon themselves as overweight,

it got worse to the point different species like sirens were put in tanks, on display almost as if they were modern art to be judged or praised,

and it got so bad to the fact parents were selling their kids for money and power.

This is Mars. And its not going to get any better.
