Draft 10: And Thus, She Is Caught

He chuckled a little. "It has it's pros and cons." He stated. "I don't like the fact that you don't remember me but it'll be more fun watching you struggle to remember like you were doing in the hospital." He stared at me with his almost cat like eyes. It made me feel like prey that he wanted to play with before finally eating.

He's different. I thought in fear. He knows I was in the hospital. With how he's talking, that must be where we met. I didn't remember him. But I felt like if I at least got his name, I'd understand his intentions. And I could almost remember his name. It was just there. At the tip of my tongue. Did it start with a K or an A? It was definitely one of the two.

This one... avoid him. Taunt finally spoke up since I'd begin conversing with him.

I furrowed my brows. It was a big issue if even Intrude was saying I should stay away when she usually didn't care. He was obviously dangerous. But it was crowded and if I angered him, how could I get away?

"You're braver than I thought if you came here by yourself after seeing that message." He stated which confused me.

Message? Was I ordered here?

There was something sly in his gaze. "Water?" He asked as he offered me one of the two bottles. "You've been drinking for a long while now."

I stared at the two identical bottles as he offered them to me. I reached for both but he pulled them back to himself while shaking his head. "You only get one." There was a look in his eyes. Like he was having fun. "One may or may not be safe." He added with a small smirk.

I looked at him in horror. May or may not be safe? Did he mean it was drugged? But why would he tell me if there was truly something wrong with it? Was he messing with me?

He let out a small chuckle. "Seeing you struggle has always brought me joy, because you always think of the worst case scenario."

I wanted to just reject taking it but... I couldn't. I just couldn't. It felt like all those life simulation games where you couldn't jump certain choices. I didn't know why but I had to take one. My stomach churned at the realization that something very not normal was happening.

What in the "Ella Enchanted" is going on...?

I stared at the bottles. Taking the one in his right hand would be the first choice out of curtsy. Plus, it was a little closer to me while the one in his left was closer to him. It was subtle but, the one he wanted me to take was the one on his right.

"The other bottle." I simply stated in response. I truly needed the water. I noticed that I was sweating bullets and my pulse was a little quicker than it should be. I had actually drank alcohol like he said and I was feeling the consequences. But if he was offering me one, then I wanted the one he wanted to take for himself.

He let out a laugh. "Good choice." He said offering the one I demanded for. I hesitated for a bit before taking it from his hand. I felt more paranoid with how easily he gave it up.

"Drink it." I ordered. He smiled before opening the seal of his bottle and taking a long swing from it. Then he shook the half empty bottle at me.

"Satisfied?" He asked making me inspect my own bottle before opening the seal and taking a careful sip. When I didn't notice any taste or weird bubbles, I downed more than half of it at a go.

May or may not. Maybe they were both fine after all. I concluded. That was a horrible prank.

He felt so familiar, it made my eye hurt so much I had to hold it and press it for a bit. Alarms were already ringing in my head on his case.
