Flight Lt. Samrat Singh Shekawat is burdened by the sins of his past. Flight Lt. Tanvi Sharma has seen him at his worst and still loves him. Samrat has a hunch about what she feels though they remain friends. She doesn't want to confess as she doesn...
Tanvi attends the morning briefing with Harjot and other officers. Samrat is standing tall next to Harjot, the two of them overlooking the others. Samrat's tall imposing figure is hard to ignore. Tanvi can no longer pretend he doesn't exist in the same room as her. Not when the subject of the discussion is the guy himself.

"Samrat Singh Shekhawat!" Harjot has a gleeful look in her eyes as she looks at Samrat and gives an exaggerating, approving nod before facing the others again.
"Ma'am!" Samrat answers by shifting his posture which she acknowledges without looking at him.
"Everybody knows Samrat ne pichhle dinon kitna kaam kiya hai. Okay, maybe half of you don't know, but he worked under my guidelines, day and night." Harjot nods appreciatively again and looks at Samrat.
"Samrat, I appreciate your patience and dedication while obeying my commands. catching up to my standards isn't an easy feat. I'm proud of your efforts."
Samrat nods ever so softly, taking in the praise, not breaking his posture. Harjot continues,

"I called everyone today to make an important announcement. Aaj se project Shakti ka team leader aur tum sab ka boss hoga Samrat Singh Shekhawat! He's highly capable to step into my shoes while I step away to attend an important mission for the airforce. And you know we're short on staff. And we can't allow any more delays! Shakti aircraft need to be tested."
Harjot makes eye contact with every officer to confirm she has everyone's attention. A rare, satisfied smile plays on her lips.
"I will be back of course. But until then, Samrat will handle the project. I'm sure by the time I'm back he will even complete the trials! He is that capable! Aur pichhle kuchh dinon mein maine use acchi tarah se samjha diya hai ki usko kaise kaam karna hai! I also consulted with the higher ups and they agreed to my decision. Unka bhi yahi maanna hai, he is kabil for this job... Now, isn't that a great honour, Samrat?"

"It is a great honour, ma'am." Samrat answers with a humble yet prideful voice.
"A huge round of applause for Samrat!" At Harjot's declaration, everybody begins clapping for Samrat. Tanvi joins them with a huge smile on her face.
Samrat and Harjot exchange salutes amidst the roaring applause. A quiet soon falls over at Harjot's hand gesture. With the same air of authority as before, she declares that she will be back after a month; Samrat will assume charge starting that afternoon.

"Officers, I want everyone of you to drive to sector 53 now. No slacking off. The weather is favourable again and we cannot waste any time. I'm expecting great things from you. From all of you. I want everyone at work."
Harjot looks at Samrat again. "Samrat! You can handle this,right? I will leave this to you."
"Yes, ma'am!" Samrat salutes Harjot again. She leaves the office after handing the keys to her desk drawers and passing him a written note that contains the password to her desktop.

Tanvi is still in a daze that Samrat is made the head of such a prestigious project without another superior officer overlooking them. It might be only for a month but still this is a great honour as Harjot said and it is something he deserves also. She looks around and finds that half of the guys are looking at Samrat with envy; the engineering girls are not happy at all. Although the flying squad members are looking at him with pride and appreciation.
Oblivious to all of this, Samrat glances at the keys Harjot passed him and reads the password written on the note before stuffing it into the front pocket of his uniform. The slight smile on his lips soon vanishes as he assumes boss mode.
Tanvi thinks the transformation is swift. Samrat orders everyone to get going.
"We are driving to sector 53," his voice booms. Everyone scrambles out.
Tanvi joins the girls rushing into the hallway. The others are running along to the parking, she's sure. She lingers a moment longer before following them, slightly smiling at Samrat's profile who's closing the door to Harjot's cabin. There is no doubt in her mind, Samrat deserves this honour and more. He deserves to be happy too and overcome the bitterness in his heart.

The scene changes in sector 53. A quick check of the aircraft fitness is mandatory. Samrat commands the engineering team to go ahead, but stops the engineering girls from moving towards the aircraft.
"Wait, girls! Tanvi karegi woh kaam..."

The girls are gleeful. Tanvi is surprised at the merciless look in Samrat's eyes. What's happening?
