On planet Earth, an orange charger is seen driving to the Ferris Aircraft Facility. Driving the car is a 26-year-old man by the name Hal Jordan, a test pilot of the facility.

He makes his way into the facility and directly to the locker room, getting his flight gear on. He was ready to head to today's flight test, but looked to a locker on the opposite side of the room that belonged to his brother.
Hal: [Sighs] Dear God, Y/n'd better be here before Carol finds out.
He leaves the room and goes to the hanger bay, hoping Y/n gets to the facility in time. Meanwhile, Y/n appears to be in his and Hal's shared apartment, lying down in bed with a beautiful girl.

He rolls over and puts his head on her shoulder, getting her to smile at the feeling of his body on hers, but his eyes shoot open. He shoots out of bed, runs over to his drawer and gets a pair of pants on. He then runs to the opening of his door, but turns to the girl, letting her know why he's leaving so soon.
Y/n: Sorry, I gotta run. Make yourself at home, okay? There's, uh, water in the tap.
He leaves the apartment, leaving the girl in confusion, and gets into his car. He quickly drives to the Ferris Aircraft Facility, hoping he's not too late for the flight test today. He runs into the locker room to get ready, but is met by someone very familiar, and someone who doesn't look particularly happy to see him.
