"I'm not being mean. But sometimes I want to hang with my son and do man stuff."

"Man stuff?"

"Yeah."

"What dat mean?"

"Stuff we as men do. What you want to do?"

"I'ono."

"Let's do something me and your uncles used to do when were little." I got off the bed.

"Come on."

He got down and followed me into the hall.

I opened our brand new pack of toilet paper. It was 15 rolls. Amb was gonna kill me, but I wanted to do something fun with my son.

"What we do?"

"We bout ta' bowl."

"Wit what?" He asked confused.

"You'll see."

I took 12 rolls and set them up in the far corner of my room by the wall. Stacked on top of each other like a pyramid.

"Those gon be our pins. And we gon use Pop-pop socks as our bowling balls."

I went into my sock drawer and pulled out a package of new white socks. It had six pair in a pack.

"Auggie take em', and roll em' together like this." I took two socks and showed him how to roll them in a ball.

He took two and did it.

"Like dis?"

"Mm-hmm. Now you do the other two. So you have three balls."

"We using dese as balls?"

"Yup." I folded my other.

"I did it." He jumped up and down. "Now what I do?"

"So we gon take the socks and throw it at the toilet paper. Hoping we knock some down."

"Oo dis fun." He clapped.

"You having fun now huh?"

"Yeah."

"You not bored no more?"

"No."

"Good. Alright go. Stay right here tho. You get too close that's cheating."

He shook his head.

"Can I go?"

"Yup."

He threw the sock and it knocked down about five pins.

"Good job A3. High-five."

We high fived.

"Pop-pop dis man stuff?"

"Yup. Put the pins back up for Pop-Pop."

"Okay." He ran over to the rolls of paper and stacked them. But they all fell down.

I went over to him and showed him how to stack them.

"Remember that for next time okay?"

"Okay." He ran back and picked up the sock.

I held my hand back like I was really bowling and tossed the sock. All of them except the ones on the bottom fell.

"Ooo you did good. I wanna get dat many." Auggie said excited.

I stacked them back up for him.

"Okay Auggie go. This time throw a little harder."

"Okay." He picked up the sock and tossed it. All of them except the ones on the bottom fell.
