In shattered mirrors, a stranger's gaze
Reflects the emptiness that you can't erase
You yearn for love, for respect's gentle hand
But deny the truth: a fragmented self, lost in the sand
Who is that person, with eyes so worn?
An identity crisis, forever forlorn
Crying, moaning, a daily, hollow refrain
A search for self, in vain, through joy and pain
In the labyrinth of your shattered dreams
You wander, lost, with heart-wrenching screams
The only thought remaining, a haunting sigh
Where do I belong? What significance can I buy?
Above, stars twinkle in peaceful harmony
A longing to join their celestial symphony
Was I born of the same cosmic dust?
Would that change my fate, or forever I'll rust?
Why do I make things worse, a self-fulfilling curse?
Born for the worst, or so my story traverses
Forever a misfit, rhythmless and blue
A song unsung, a documentary unviewed, anew
In the archives of my heart, words remain
Longing for the unattainable, in vain
No matter how I imagine, the truth I face
Inevitability's cold, unforgiving pace
