It's been a whole day since we landed in Cannes and we still haven't gone anywhere. We have been way too busy setting out the apartment. As promised, Dad bought the best flat for Kriti and me. I loved the apartment. It has a glass wall that separates the entry from the living room, and the white and blue sofa set in the living room complements the dark blue walls. It has a cute white swing chair in the living room with fairy lights on the walls that cover the photo frames. There are two rooms with a master bedroom on the first floor. The master room is covered with glass walls from both sides with an LED in the front of the bed. The room faces the sea side and the view is breathtaking. When you go to the balcony you will see a beautiful blue sea view, at night the view is even more beautiful with the lighting around the sea and the buildings near it giving it the look of a painting on canvas. There is a bookshelf beside the bed, with a swing in the balcony. I knew Dad would find the best place but it's exactly how I imagined. Kabir told us that Nish looked at the interior design here as well. I am the luckiest person on the planet, at times I think that this is not even real, how can I have everything in the world, perfect family, best friends, and my career?

"Oye, Mia ?"

"yes, what happened ?"

"Did you unpacked everything ?"

"Yeah,"

"Let's eat something when Kabir is here."

"Oh ok." We had our dinner together and all the time Kritika made sure to irritate Kabir so that he could lose his cool. He has always been the most reserved person even when it has been more than three years together and I have known this Idiot more than that.

"Will you stop irritating me?"

"No, No way."

"Why?"

"That's what I would like to ask. Why are you like that?"

" Like what?"

"So stiff."

"I am not."

"Yes, you are," I said

"Even you think that Mia?"

"Yes and anyone would,"

"That must be the reason you don't have a girlfriend," Kritika said

"I don't have time for that."

"Oh plz, when you will find the one we will then see."

"Yeah, whatever. Are you both done with the unpacking ?"

"Yes. Now we will go out for a walk."

"What now? Have you seen the time?"

"Stop behaving like Dad, Kabir."

"But" "Not buts and shut up."

"Ok, but call your father once."

"Oh, I forgot to call them. I just texted them that I reached."

"Babygirl you are in trouble."

"Pretty much."

"Oh, by the way, when can we leave for Paris ?"

" I had a talk with the officials and we can go and sign the contract and finish up all the formalities next week Wednesday."

"OK, Cool. And when do you go to work?"

"After two days."

"Then that means."

"Exploring and shopping."

"Yeah shopping too."

"Kids."

"What did you say? Dada ji (Grandpa)?

" What I am not."

"Oh plz yes, you are." And they are fighting again. I just don't get it why do they always fight when they meet?

"I will do the dishes, so go and get Kritika ready we will go and take a walk in the street."

"What, why would you do the dishes? Let me do it, Mia." Kabir snatched the bowl from my hands.

"No, why would you do that?"

"Just because hmm.... I want to do it." After hearing something like this I could only give him a disgusted look. ' Seriously?'

"Stupid," Kriti shouted from the living area.

"Exactly, Get lost go back to your flat."

"Yeah shuuu"

"But Mia."

"What Mia ?"

"Let me help you must be tired, right?"

"No, so get lost. Find something for yourself."

"Let's go I am ready." Kritika came with the bags and caps.

"Cool, we are leaving so even you go back. I will do the dishes when we are back"

"What? Take me along with you."

"Plz, No thanks, we don't need a bodyguard with us."

"Why in the world are you her friend?"

"Because she loves me, now go"

"Fine but be safe."

"Sure, good night."

We both went down and as expected from this city, Cannes is exactly the opposite of Mumbai it is more beautiful just like a painter's masterpiece, we were roaming in the street with a pharmacy, a painting shop, and a few restaurants down the line. There were a few people seated on the tables and enjoying beer, on the other side a group of musicians was performing and a couple was dancing to that tune. It was a magical moment; you could even hear the sea crashing on the edges. I am so glad that I came to France, I am sure this country has so much in store for me.
