First of all, I want to say a massive congratulations to Switzerland. This was so deserved, Nemo's performance was absolutely incredible and their vocals were on point! It's kind of ironic we're going back to Switzerland after such a devisive year
I've been rooting for Croatia since the beginning and they should not be disappointed. 2nd place is huge (and often more popular than the winner: türkiye 2010, Cyprus 2018, finland 2023, ect). The last time Croatia came top 10 was 2001 and their best place was 4th. Yes, I found a doily and wore it on my head during the voting. Continue to Rim Tim Tagi Dim Marko!
Ukraine also deseves a round of applause. They broke the death spot curse and finished in 3rd! It was a better performance than their semi performance. Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil, you guys were incredible!
Slimane was phenominal. I knew he'd be a jury favourite from the moment he was revealed back in November (October?) His vocals were flawless, and France has finally beaten Italy in results (getting a semi revenge for Barbara)
Now, this is decisive and I feel like I'm walking on eggshells, but Eden absolutely deserved a place in the top 10. Her performance was more than that, it was a story, and you can feel her pain. Her vocals were on par with Slimane and Nemo. Congratulations Eden
WE REALLY DID CROWN THE WITCH! Bambie has given Ireland theire best result in this century since 2000 and that is absolutely incredible. Huge congratulations are in order for Bambie. Ireland is BACK!
Now, I'm not a fan of Italy's song, but that was Angelina's best performance. I'm glad she toned down the amount of roses on her outfit to make it less chaotic. Again, not my favourite, but she has a wonderful stage presence
Armenia getting top 10 was not on my bingo card for thiz year but good on Ladaniva! It's such a fun song and I love how it's just them having some fun on the stage. No politics or political messages, it was just crazy and party
Red pill or blue pill? I mentioned it in the last chapter how matrix-esque the staging was, but Marcus and Martinus did an incredible job with that staging. They made up a lackluster song with that amazing staging. Are they singing about the same girl though?

If there was one person that should have made the top 10, it was Marina. I love the song, I love the performance, I love the charisma, I love everything about it. BUT 11TH IS GOOD, MARINA, YOU HAVE MADE GREECE PROUD

Honourary Australian (and Cypriot) representative did so well. Silia is only 17 and she came top 15 which is an incredible feat. She has a career ahead of her and Silia definately deserves a round of applause
From bottom of the odds to even qualify to 16th place, Dons really said fuck the odds. Latvia being back in the finals is also amazing and should hopefully help bring the country back to actually trying instead of sending songs like "eat your salad"
Definately screwed over by being so close to Portugal in the running order killed Teya. I also felt that her performance wasn't as strong as her semi performance. Good luck next year Serbia
Ok, 0 points from the public was harsh, buuuuut... this was definately worse than Olly's performance in semi 1. I never liked the way this song was performed with the soft porn. It was kinda funny though when the UK got nil points

It was a dick move from the EBU to put Raiven in between Nemo and Baby Lasagna - the two favourites. This placement pulled votes away from Slovenia and has made me hate the Producer's Choice thing ma-bob

Honestly, I found the interval acts kinda boring. I liked the flag parade with the Swedish hits (including Hooked on a Feeling, loved that part). I also liked the ABBA tribute from Charlotte, Carola, and Conchita as well as the Alcazar performance. But the Loreen performance felt very disappointing staging wise, especially when it's from Loreen. I also really disliked the ABBA avatars because it feels like not only a violation of their rights but a terrifying look into the future
Anyway, see you in Switzerland next year. Hopefully it's less than the clusterfuck this year was
