Chapter 1, Deal With it

I  Hailey's POV

I was so excited to get away from Dallas and my father. Anna was the worst. She begged me to just give the baby to Matt, to let him and Courtney raise it. Matt finally  stood up after taking my hand saying,

“Anna, no disrespect. But i'm madly in love with Hailey. We are married. We're here to let you know that i'm needed in Miami full time.” Carson clears his throat,

“Heard through Hunter that you got Courtney pregnant? What are you  are going to do for her?” Matt locks eyes with father,

“Sir, I will help her with the baby. But I have no feelings for her, like Hailey has none for Hunter. We want to respect the two of you, by telling we were  leaving for business reasons. Thank you for  hearing us out. Have a good evening.’

  We walk out of the townhouse, hand in hand as we leave.  It was a long drive  to Miami, I did enjoy it.  Took a few days to get there, it was fun. After we settled in, Dana and I go shopping to  get food for the house.. The townhouse  was beautiful, all we had to do was get bedding and food. The guys help us with the bedding, we get the food.

We were slowly getting the food, down each aisle, when Dana and I heard a voice that I never wanted to hear again . We both turn around to see Courtney and all of her smugness. She struts up to us with her smug smirk.

“Well, well,  I’m not surprise to see Hailey, But why are you here Dana?” Courtney hisses at us. Dana laughs at her,

“Courtney, our business requires both Andrew and Matt to both be down here. And Hailey has family down here that cares for her. And there will be many eyes on you. If we have it our way, you will rarely be alone with Matt. He only wants to be in the baby's life, not yours.” Courtney starts laughing,

“Stay in your little dreamworld. By the time, my baby is born Matt will be my man.” Unknown to us two people have walked up behind this conversation, until we hear someone clear their throat.

“Hey, what is going on here?”

I turn around to see Chase and Aunt Dakota, I was so thrilled. I run over to Chase, hugging him then aunt Dakota. Chase walks over to Courtney with one of  his deadly glares, I fold my arms to watch this showdown. Now Chase  crosses her arms, watch out Courtney!

“So why are you trying to mess up my sister's marriage? I know you're pregnant with Matt's baby. He will be there for the baby, be grateful for that.. Matt was there for Hailey when our mother died. They have been through thick and thin. You have to blackmail after drugging  him to have sex. Now you think you're entitled to take him away from My sister Hailey? I don't think so!” Chase is nose to nose, as Courtney smirks.

“Why are you here Chance? Your sister has a guy named Hunter that loves her very much. i'm a better match for Matt.” Now Chase starts laughing,

“See you’ve been talking to Carson. Here you go. That man kidnapped me as a toddler, faked my death so my parents wouldn't look for me. Thank goodness they never gave up. My name is Chase, not Chance.” Courtney gives him a flirty, coy smile.

“Well, that is an interesting story. i'm sure. We'll see hoe things work out with  Matt. Don't hate  me if your  sister loses.” Next thing I realize I watch my Aunt Dakots get face to face with Courtney.

“You're a no good home wrecker. Stay away from my family, that includes Hailey and Matt. Are we clear?”  Courtney's eyes widen,

“Why do I care what you think. I see what I want, I go after it. So listen up Hailey I want Matt,so walk away. If you have  family, lean into them. She doesn't need Matt, but I do. Understand?”  Aunt Dakota frowns at her,
