Ananya sat with her head propped on her hand, observing Avi's intense gaze fixated on the rain outside. She couldn't fathom how a man could spend a good 45 minutes doing nothing but staring at raindrops with his hands crossed over his chest.

Ananya couldn't help but shoot Avi a perplexed glance, her brow furrowed in an attempt to decipher this peculiar behavior of his. Was he conducting some sort of rain meditation session?

Can you stop staring at me?

Avi's sudden question caught Ananya off guard, nearly causing her to stumble in surprise. She blinked, quickly checking to see if Avi had sprouted an extra eye at the back of his head. With a heavy sigh, Avi swiveled his chair around to face her directly.

Yedhavadhu venuma?

( Do you want anything?)

Ananya shook her head

Appo yedhavadhu sollanuma?

( Then do you have anything to say?)

Again she shook her head,

Pinna yenna?

( Then what?)

Illa, mazhaiyaye pathutu irukingale, rasikiringala illa moraikiringala'nu therla adhan...

( No, I noticed you staring at the rain for a long time, but I can't tell if your admiring it or being angry at it...)

Avi narrowed his eyes at Ananya, giving her a poker face that made her sigh defeatedly. She turned away from him sheepishly, feeling a bit awkward under his intense gaze. Avi sighed as he crossed his arms on his desk, resting his chin on his arms as he continued to stare at the rain, lost in his own thoughts.

Lost in the rhythmic patter of the rain, Avi's mind wandered back to his childhood memories. He recalled how his mother had adored the rain, finding solace in its soothing embrace. Sitting in the backyard, she would sing softly, her face illuminated by the gentle drops. In those moments, she seemed to forget all worries, her smile radiant and serene. Avi couldn't help but smile himself, cherishing those memories of his mother's happiness amid the rain.

However Ananya on the other hand could not stand the silence, it made her feel restless and she started humming a random tune which inadvertently made Avi shake his legs under the table according to her humming. She smiled at first and then she remembered something.

Ama, neenga vela vecha naala na stay pannen okay, neenga yedhuku kelambala?

( Oh yeah, you gave me so much job so I stayed to finish it, but why did you not leave?)

Avi didn't fail to notice the hint the suspiciousness in her voice and he couldn't help but give her a look like, " Seriously?" He simple rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair, bringing his hands behind his head as he answered,

Unna kidnap panna

( To kidnap you)

Ananya eyes widened, did her boss just make a sarcastic remark? Avi's wittiness caught her off the guard. She chose not to question further, this man is peculiar he could do anything at anytime, hence she has to be careful as she kept on munching more of her biscuit and eventually ran out of it.

Though there was no electricity, the place was quite chilly due to the stormy rain outside. Ananya rubbed her arms, trying to generate some warmth as the chill of the stormy night crept into the office. Avi couldn't help but notice her discomfort, a flicker of concern crossing his features as he watched her.
