Jennie shuddered. In her shock, she looked at the hand hanging at Lisa's side.
Jennie remembered the warmth when this long, big hand with its prominent knuckles grabbed her wrist. But now, one of the two hands was dyed red with blood at some point of time.
Blood oozed out from between his fingers, and they dripped to the floor. It tugged at her heartstrings for some reason.
Jennie recognized that the injured hand was the one Lisa had used to seize the edge of the platform to stabilize himself. The edge of the platform was not as smooth as the other places, so Lisa's hand might have been cut just now.
Once she figured this out, Jennie's emotions instantly became complicated. She had never thought that someone would actually risk their life to save her, and especially when the person... was this man.
Shin Min-a heard Xia Zhetao's cry of surprise and also turned her head in surprise to look at Lisa. When she saw the cuts on Lisa's hand, she could not help but frown, and her gaze was just as complicated as Jennie's.
Shin Min-a had some prejudices toward this man, and it was because of how he treated Jennie.
Even if she knew that the one who was in the wrong in the past was Jennie, when she learned that Jennie had suffered a lot because of him, Shin Min-a just could not like the person in front of her.

This was a problem that elders and most people have—they protected the ones they loved.
But even if she did not like him, no matter what, Lisa was injured because of Jennie. Shin Min-a could not ignore it, so she asked, "Are you alright? Do you need to go to the hospital?"
"No." Lisa noticed that Jennie's gaze was fixed on his hand, and for some reason, he quietly moved his hand behind him to hide it. He did not want Jennie to see his blood-drenched hand.
Lisa's straightforward rejection caused Xia Zhetao to feel a little disappointed. 'My dear president, this is a rare chance. Do you know how good of a chance it is to use the fact that you're hurt to gain someone's favor? You actually rejected it so stiffly?!'
He felt distressed. Xia Zhetao could not watch it anymore, and for the first time, he noticed that he had an arduous task ahead of him, so he cleared his throat to try and save the situation. "Don't need to. I just checked. My president just has a superficial wound. He doesn't need to go to the hospital. Besides, there isn't a hospital nearby. The nearest one is thirty minutes away. It's too troublesome if we go back and forth. Do you have a first aid kit in your company? We can first stop the bleeding before anything else."
The moment Xia Zhetao said these words, the crowd was stunned, and they looked at each other for a moment, but none of them said anything.
After some time, someone spoke reluctantly, "I have a first aid kit in my office."
The crowd was stunned, and they immediately cast their gazes on the person who spoke.
Once Xia Zhetao saw who the speaker was, his eyes lit up, and he thought. 'This is fate! President, looks like even God is helping you. You have to work hard, otherwise, you'll be letting me down and all the effort I've poured into this for you will be for nothing!'

Jennie saw the gaze Lisa fixed on her, and she suddenly felt a little awkward. She said reluctantly, "I have a first aid kit in my office. Do you want to come with me to get it, or do you want me to get it down for you?"
Before Lisa could answer, Xia Zhetao had already spoken ahead of him. "Let's go up together. You won't have to run up and down, that's so troublesome."
Jennie looked at Xia Zhetao in puzzlement. "Let's go together."
Jennie grabbed Shin Min-a's hand and led Xia Zhetao as well as Lisa upstairs.
But Woobin stayed. He sent a sharp look at the people and said gloomily, "Don't you have anything to do? Why are you gathered around here?"
The people looked like they had woken up from their daze. Just now, they had witnessed a race against the God of Death, and quite a number of people were still unable to calm down. When they heard what Woobin said, they shuddered, and they could not care about anything else. All of them dispersed and did what they had to do.
Woobin watched the people leave and arranged for people to go down to handle the elevator that fell down. Then, he turned around to speak to Xiao Jingyao. "Investigate this matter properly."
Xiao Jingyao nodded in understanding. Nothing in the world ever happened due to pure coincidence. There were plenty of elevators in the company and Jennie's was the one that encountered a problem, but that was not all. All five cables were faulty. This was definitely not a coincidence.
Once Woobin gave orders to Xiao Jingyao, he went after Jennie and the others.
After what happened, these people were a little fearful, and they were definitely not going to sit in an elevator so soon.
