38• Dare you touch her

Start from the beginning

"When did you guys last talk?", I asked.

"In the evening when I came back from the conference", she replied.

My mind was getting able to feel the heat my whole body was throwing.

"Did he inform you that he won't come?", I asked.

"He just said that he'll try to come but not sure", she said.

"You don't worry. I'll look after that", I assured.

"Stop worrying", I ordered her and left.

My mind automatically started connecting the dots.
I went away from the crowd, to call Arjun.
I was about to dial his number. But he himself called me first.

That's it..
No it's not a coincidence.
Something is not good.

"Yes speak", I demanded.

"Sir, there's a blast near our gurugram warehouse".

Fuck it.
I knew it.

Wrath travelled to every iota my body.

After the Kasauli blast.....
Firing.
Trap.
Var- Varnika.
God damn it.
No no no.

I turned to look at her but due to the crowd, I wasn't able to see her.

"Sir- sir, what ab-"

"Cut the fucking call Arjun", I yelled with full rage and gripped the phone damn tightly.

My eyes finally fell on her, standing alone near the entry gate fir garden.

Damn it.

With bigger steps I went to her and without saying anything or any reaction, I grabbed her into my arm and hugged her tightly so that she couldn't turn back.

As I said.... It's all a trap.

A man was standing behind her with a dagger his hand just a few inches away from her back.
I secured her to me with one hand while with the other, I took back the dagger and dug that deeply into that motherfucker's stomach.

My hand got a cut due to the dagger, as I was holding it tightly.

"Agastya"

"What happened?"

"Shhh"

I didn't leave her because I don't want her to see all this. Her face was just resting on my chest while my arm was covered through her shoulder and neck so that she doesn't turn.
I kept my other hand away since it was bleeding and I don't want her to get into this mess.

She was trying to turn back but I tightened the grip more.

"Aap apni nazre ham par rakhe jaana, duniya pay nazre rakhne ke liye ham kafi hai".
I whispered softly in her ears.

(You keep your gaze at me, I'm enough to look after the world)

She doesn't need to worry about all this.
She's my lady and she deserves the bright sunshine, not the dark hell.

She put her one hand on my shoulder and looked up at me.

Hayee...

Blood was dripping from my other hand and as I looked back at that bastard's body, one of my personal guards by now got his body out.
Now he's gone.

"Kya hua hai apko?", she asked with consent.

(What happened to you?)

"Pyaar hua hai aapse".
