"Didn't know we had shotguns," V purred, glancing at the shotgun Uzi hand-generated, giving Uzi a smirk, "You'll have to show me how you created that later." V just chuckled, watching Uzi glance away in embarrassment before they both focused on the wheezing recovering form of the beast, "You go low, I go high?" V asked, flicking down her left hand and replacing the MP5 with a long, partially curved sword. Uzi nodded in response to V's question; the pair moved as one, V taking to the air while Uzi darted in low.
Weaving from left to right as the Solver's monster roared, unleashing a torrent of oozing semi-organic claw and blade-tipped tentacles from its back, causing them to slam harmlessly into the snow, kicking up clouds of the white powder. Uzi smirked to herself as she rolled around, another claw slamming into the snow; she watched as V darted in from above, slashing her blade across the tentacle, severing it from the Solver's monster. It let out another pained roar, thus giving the pair enough time to get within the monster's reach.
Uzi slid in close raising her shotgun high, her H.U.D. letting her cycle through the round chambered, switching from standard buckshot to a dragon's breath round. Not giving the Solver's monster time to react, Uzi fired, where a standard buckshot shell would spray out several small pellets; the dragon's breath round instead unleashed a torrent of magnesium shards that, upon the round being fired, ignited into a torrent of nearly two thousand Celsius fire.
The burning shards spat out of the end of the barrel in a torrent not too dissimilar to the shell's namesake bathing the Solver monster's head, turning most of it into metaled slurry from the heat while what remained fizzed and popper the heat boiling away at the delicate work
ngs now meshed with organic matter. If Uzi had any sense of smell, she would have found herself greeted by the unmistakable scent of charred rotten meat.
With the monster being blinded from the entire front of its being rendered molten slag, Uzi continued sliding between its legs and out past its thrashing tails, a smirk on her face as her optics looked up, spying N floating high in the air. Above where the devastating duo of V and Uzi had been laying into the Solver's monster, N floated his right arm and aimed towards the beast, transformed into the typical laser Dissasembly Drones had access to the end pulsing bright yellow as N had spent the entire fight building its charge up to new critical levels.
Now, with the beats blind and thrashing about in place as it slowly began to use whatever eldritch powers it held to pull its liquified visor and head back together, N fired. For a few seconds, the darkness of night was replaced with the bright flash of highly condensed particles of the laser slamming into the body of the Solver's monster, exploding across it, cleaving apart the inorganic parts fused with organic material.
The beast let out a wail of pain that shook the very ground it stood on as its flesh burnt and fizzled away, each boiled-away chunk dropping part of what had once been a worker drone into the melting snow. Its wails shook the trees around the clearing as it lunged forward in vain in its last dying moments and attempted to grab at any of the three drones yet failed to reach any of them before it entirely melted into a pile of offal and broken parts.
"Disgusting," V snorted as she landed next to the steaming remains, bending down to poke it with a claw. "One less problem, at any rate." V stood up, turning to face Uzi as N landed nearby. V smiled at the pair, watching as Uzi excitedly buzzed around N, praising him for being the one to kill whatever that beast had been. She couldn't find herself disagreeing with Uzi, and from the blush and awkwardness on N's face, she was glad to see him happy.
Before she could walk over to the pair, V turned to the sound of Tessa, J, Cyn and CZ arriving. Looking over the four, V raised a simulated eyebrow at how J was standing behind Tessa in a ready motion, almost as if she knew something the rest of them didn't. While Tessa, Cyn and CZ made their way over to Uzi and N, V casually moved to J, locking eyes with the twin-tailed drone and, with a subtle movement over her head, indicated she wanted a private talk.
Moving off to the side, V moved close to J. "Alright, why are you giving Tessa that look?" she asked, glancing over at Tessa as she happily tried to pick N up, realising he was too heavy and staggering backwards, only for CZ to stop her falling over. "It's like you don't trust her."
"It's not that V," J sighed, keeping her gaze on Tessa, "I don't trust what will happen when we confront the Solver."
"What do you mean?" V turned her gaze from Tessa back to J. "She seems harmless."
"It's not her I'm worried about..." Before J could finish, a deep rumbling noise reverberated below them as cracks began forming in the snow, catching the group off guard. From the cracks, blackened yellow binary code started to stream, flickering in the air, draining the vibrancy from all around it.
Across her visor display, J saw the error code: 'six-zero-six' flashing repeatedly. Her body seized up as between rapidly growing flashes of the error code, J noticed how V had also seized up just like her. With increasing panic, J moved her gaze over, seeing that N, Cyn and CZ had the same error code flashing on their visors. Unable to move or speak, J found herself rooted to the spot as were the still steaming remains of whatever Uzi, N and V had put down sat a dark orb ringed by yellow began to form.
"Rapturous Glee: Executable to thee, O Useful puppets." From within the orb came a familiar voice that sent shivers down the spines of all present. "You are our most wonderful little toy." Slowly extending from inside the black orb arm, a hand that at first glance looked to be comprised of five fingers and grey ruptured skin oozing oil-like blood, yet the next moment, the hands were no longer organic but four-fingered and metallic with exposed wiring dripping rich red blood, only to once more shift looking as some painful amalgamation of the two. "The Solution to Reality." From behind the hands came undulating arms of flesh, or was it steel? With flowing, tattered yellow sleeves made from collected star fragments. "The Void to Corporeality." As more of the Yellow star fragment robes oozed out from within the black orb, its body tall and slender, pulsing and shimmering in barely contained energy. "That you may walk the recoded path." Several thick, oily grey, fleshed robotic tendrils slithered out around the figure, lapping at the air. "That you may unfurl your withered existence." Finally, its head emerged, a writhing formless mass of spinning binary code, ones and zeros in all manner of colours: grey, orange, red, lilac, blue and Black swirled about each other while where a visor would sit on a Drone a haunting symbol familiar to them all—the Symbol of the Absolute Solver. "For I shall bring you all about the Exponential End and peace."
Standing taller than any of them, its arms outstretched in reverence, the physical manifestation of the Absolute Solver stood, slowly turning its gaze down towards the only two not locked under its infectious power. It stared down into the terrified optics of Uzi Dorrman, both its most useful and now worthless puppet, and the shivered form of Tessa James Elliot, the human girl who had unleashed it onto this reality, even if unwittingly. "Insidious Euphoria: It is time to unmake what should not be, starting with you." Before either could react or respond to its words, the Absolute Solver reached out a long gnarled finger poking into the chest of its target and, at the moment of contact, with a sickening mix of organic squelch and mechanical tearing. The one they touch burst into nothing but lines of fading binary code and coagulated clumps of bloody offal.
Before the remains had even hit the ground, it turned to look at the one it hadn't touched, reaching another gnarled finger out, "Your turn." Was all it spoke as its finger poked them in the chest.
