Its claws slammed hard into the permafrost below the blanket of snow that coated the ground, leaving deep rents in the earth as Uzi flipped back away from its opening strike. The monstrous creature was fast, giving Uzi no time to reorientate herself before lunging again for her with four long bone claws. Uzi, however, was ready for its charge.
Crouching low on her digitigrade legs, she cycled through the standardised Dissasembly Drone weapons suite that Uzi's upgrade had installed into her programming. With a flourish, both her hands slid back inside the irises on her wrists, and a long, slightly curved blade slid out, taking the place of her left hand. Uzi's right hand was replaced with the long cylindrical barrel and the underslung tubular magazine and receiver section of a Benelli M4 combat shotgun.
Using the power from her bent legs, Uzi brought her left hand up to block the Absolute Slover monster's brutal haymaker swing. Hard ossified bone claws met carbon steel with an echoing thud and sparks, biting deep into each other. The solver beast roared with rage, slamming its other claw into the ground and putting more weight into pressing down on Uzi.
Thick globes of vicious oil-like blood dripped from this maw as it snarled at Uzi. The beast was tunnel-visioned on Uzi, so focused was the Solver's beast on devouring her core and corrupting the data that compiled within this failure of a host. It was blind to everything else as it sought to corrupt and usurp the belligerent code it knew held the possibility of undoing all the work the absolute Solver had set in motion.
Uzi swung her right arm up, levelling the shotgun's barrel with the beast's face. She used its claw as a makeshift stand to ensure hardly any recoil from using the shotgun one-handed, smirking as the crosshair displayed on her H.U.D linked to the shotgun showed Uzi that she had a perfect shot for the beast's warped head. Giving the beast a smirk, Uzi pulsed the fire command along the internal fiberoptic cables that make up her equivalent or nerves, a heavy thudding staccato as a 00 buckshot round exited the barrel, the eight pellets ripping their way across the short distance into the multi optic display visor of the Solver's beast.
In normal circumstances, the hardened glass visors of a drone, be it a Worker, Disassembly or whatever horrific monstrosity the Absolute Solver had created using a drone as its base, could withstand the impact of one or possibly two pellets. The impact of all eight pellets caused the glass to crack, spider webbing forming across the outer toughened glass as the pellets dug deeper, breaking the fluid display behind the glass and blinding the beastly drone.
Screeching in rage, the beast staggered backwards, clawing at its sown splintered visor, trying to pry the buckshot pellets out before its nanites could repair over them, locking them in place, impeding its ability to see. "Blinding rage. I will rend your core logic into scrap data. Threatening snarl." The monotoned voice of the Absolute Solver reverberated from deep within the beast's body, while on a regular drone, the voice would have mimicked coming from the mouth like it was a human. Whatever the Solver had done to this drone to convert it into this monstrous beast, the voice no longer came from its head and instead echoed from deep within the beast's chest, flowing from any opening besides the mouth.
It snarled as the final buck shot pellet fell from its visor, a flowing shimmery film of nanites slithering across the spiderweb cracks, filling them in and restoring the visor to full working order. Yet before the beast could hurl itself back towards Uzi, intent on reducing the cocky purple-haired drone to ribbons of synthetic bacon. Only to be interrupted mid-leap by a series of well-placed nine-millimetre bullets ripping deep into the beast's body, the beast brought its arms up to shield the hailstorm of lead rending steel and carbon fibre apart. The beast snarled in a mixture of synthetic pain and rage, glaring at the lither figure of V, who had moved up behind Uzi, both her hands sporting the standard MP5s often used by Disassembly Drones.
