Oliver and Alice had a complicated relationship. Alice never showed much love, and often full out denied that she even tolerated Oliver. But Oliver started to take this... Seriously. He thought that Alice actually didnt love him.. which wouldnt be surprising, but it hurt.
Alice approached him with a small rose in her hand with thorns all over it, suprisingly though, she wasnt getting cut.
Alice: "I love you!"
And handed Oliver the flowers.
The thorns quickly burrowed into his skin, making him bleed and drop the flower.
Oliver: "I love you not."
Oliver walked away, and saw Alice again the next day, alice giving him a hug with the same sentiment.
Alice: "I love you!!"
Oliver was shocked at how tight Alice grabbed onto him. It hurt, and he quickly pushed Alice off of him.
Oliver: "I love you not."
Alice saw oliver crying a few days later and went and spoke to him, attempting to provide comfort. But all Oliver heard was a long lecture about how it shows how weak he is when he cries and that its his fault.
Oliver: "i love you....
Not."
