Second Chance

Chapter 5: Jailbreak

Me and Velvet were being brought to the visiting room. I don't really know who would be visiting us, well, it might be our parents.

But when we walked out of the hallway, I was surprised to see that it wasn't our parents.

It was Lenny.

And Orchid.

And...

Ritz.

He was looking off to the side, arms folded acrossed his chest, as he glared at the ground on his left side.

Me and Velvet sit down and the officer goes off to the other side of the room.

Everything was silent for a while. Then Lenny spoke.

"We're not the only ones here to visit." Then she pulled seven trolls out of her pocket.

"Hi!" The pink one said.

"Uhhh... hi." I say.

"We saw the news. And we also know about the whole deal thing you made with that guy, to get your hands on Floyd?"

"How did you- Floyd told you didn't he?" I say.

"Yeah." She giggles.

"Wait, I thought you said you did some research?" The gray one with black hair says.

"Yeah. Floyd was my reliable source." She says.

"That... that makes sense now." The pink one with yellow hair says, tapping her chin.

Velvet just snorts and raises an eyebrow.

I look over at Floyd and he grins up at me shyly and does a little wave. "Hi."

"Hi Floyd!" I grin back at him.

"So... we're here to get you out of jail." The pink one says.

"Woah, say what now?!" Velvet smiles, leaning closer to the little creacher, her face coated with interest.

"Yup!" She says.

"Hang on! None of us agreed to that!" Ritz suddenly says.

"Well do you want them to die?" She raises an eyebrow at him.

"I-" He doesn't finish his sentence and looks away.

"So you want us to bail them out?" Lenny questions.

"Yup!" Pink Troll says.

"But- how are we supposed to do that?!" She exclaims.

"Do any of you have five grand?" Velvet asks.

"HELL NO!" Ritz hisses. I swear to God, the look on his face genuinely scared me. When Ritz gets mad I always know that shit's gonna go down.

"Okay, then we break them out." Pink Troll shrugs.

"WHAT?!" Ritz stares at her in shock.

Before anyone can say anything else, Pink Troll grabs a neerby flashlight with her hair and smashes it against the glass.

I lunge and push Velvet to the floor and under the table so she wouldn't get cut by all the shaddered glass.

I heard the alarm go off and I feel small hands nudging my feet forward towards the doors.

I look down and see Floyd, he continued nudging me and I grabbed Velvet's hand and shoved her in front of me and towards the doors.

"MOVE!" I yell to her.

We run out and I saw Lenny, Orchid, Ritz, and the trolls jumping into Lenny's car.

Without thinking, I shove Vels into the car and climb in after her.
