just a few weeks in and Ava and Regina were already having their first fight in Regina's room

"no, I am not yelling at you" Ava half yelled as she ran a hand over her hair in frustration

regina had gone clubbing two nights ago that Ava just found out about through Aaron's Instagram

she wasn't mad because of that, she was mad because regina didn't even think it was worth mentioning it to Ava especially when they were supposed to go on a movie date that night

"that jolly well seems like what you're doing" regina snapped back sarcastically

"okay can you be serious? at least now?" Ava looked at regina "after what you've done-"

"don't you dare go pining the blame on me" regina raised a finger

"I am not pining the blame, I am just saying this is your fucking fault, why doesn't that get through your thick fucking skull"

"that's the literal fucking definition of blaming, you fucking idiot"

"I am actually smarter than you? hello?"

"but apparently not smart enough" regina shrugged

"why don't you just go and marry Aaron fucking Samuels if you'd rather be with him, why are you here talking to me"

"you're literally standing in my room" Regina said

"oh so it's like that" Ava chuckled dryly before she walked over to the window

"Ava, that not what I-"

"just, save it, George" Ava put her hand up to silence regina

"i told you not to call me that"

"oh yeah you tell me everything" Ava smiles sarcastically before stepping onto the pavement "thanks for telling me about the club as well, oh wait you didn't"

"Ava, don't do this" Regina said

Ava however released her pent up anger in slamming the window down with her left hand which accidentally shut the it on her right hand fingers

"oh fuck" she grunted

she tried to stiffle a scream by biting down on her left hand fist holding on through the crack open window with her right

"Ava listen to me" regina pulled the window up in hopes of talking to Ava

which only made the latter lose balance and fall onto the ground on her left side

"Ava" regina gasped

"where the hell were you?" Jonathan asked looking up from his phone

"we've been waiting for like an hour" Darcy added

"yeah I was just" Ava tried finding an excuse "I was out for a run" she lied

"you've been going on a lot of runs lately" Darcy narrowed her eyes down at Ava in suspicion

"yeah it's good for your health" she shrugged with one shoulder "although I am pretty sure i broke my arm" she informed as the two gazed at her now limp left arm in worry

the following day Ava showed up to school with a cast on her left arm, it definitely restricted her movements thus for the time being Jonathan was their designated driver as Darcy didn't have her license yet

"see you later, kids" Ava said as she jogged off and leaned on a random locker to check her phone

her and Regina hadn't talked since their fight last Saturday

"that's my locker" someone interrupted the girl as she moved

"oh I am sorry" she said as she looked up

"that's alright"

"you're Cady, right?" she asked "Cady Heron?"

"yeah, how did you know?"

"you're a plastic everybody knows you, I am Ava by the way" she introduced herself

"how did that happen?" Cady asked pointing at Ava's cast

"oh uh" Ava tried thinking of an excuse "i fell, yeah. while uh skateboarding" she nodded to herself "this is so fucking dumb" she chuckled

"wow, no it's not dumb. i think it's pretty cool" she said

"thanks" Ava looked over to find Aaron and Regina walk towards them, hand in hand "here comes your bestfriend" she mumbled 

"hey girl, are you sending any candy canes this year?" cady asked her

"i don't send them i just get them" Regina said as she pushed Aaron's hair back clearly to make Ava and Cady jealous "Cady will you please tell him, his hair looks sexy pushed back" she leaned into Aaron's chest making Ava fume with anger

"your hair looks sexy pushed back" Cady grunted as regina pulled an obviously discomforted aaron in for a kiss 

ava just sighed and forced a smile as Aaron mumbled a small thanks before the 'couple' walked off

"i better go, it was nice seeing you cady" ava smiled as she felt cady's eyes on her while walking away 

"where are we gonna meet?" jonathan asked taking his seat on the lunch table with darcy and ava 

"let's do your house, darcy" ava suggested "you have an empty garage"

"yeah and i have better speakers too" she informed "bring your guitar" she instructed ava "bring your keeyboard" she pointed at jonathan 

"yes ma'am" he replied "butlet's get this straight, this will be our first and last time performing at this school. i ain't doing this shit again" 

"yeah" ava chuckled. it was her idea all along anyway 

ava glanced over to the plastics table and saw regina already staring back. ava quickly looked away and fought the blush that came on her face. no matter what, regina george will always have that effect on her. 

"what are you all smiley about?" jonathan asked noticing ava's actions 

"huh? nothing i am not smiling" she replied with a forced poker face "anyway let's assign positions" 

"what positions?" darcy snorted "i have the drums, jonathan with keys and you'll play the guitar and sing. two roles because you pushed us into it, so suffer" 

"yeah alright" she laughed "5 pm? what you say?" she asked them 

"sure" the two said at the same time making themselves laugh

"hey" ava greeted the blonde when she stepped into her big ass bedroom "i am just here as your tutor" she shrugged taking out her notes and putting them on regina's table 

"just say you couldn't stay away, babe. no shame here" regina chuckle 

"yeah, you wish" ava mumbled before signalling her to sit down "this is totally professional" 

"mhm" regina said sitting down a bit too close to ava making the latter's breath hitch, regina smirked knwoing the effect she had 

"so" ava cleared her throat "another quiz in the last hour since we're done with inorganic and let's start organic now" 

"yeah" regina mumbled in a low raspy voice 

"you already know the basics" ava tried hard to concentrate and maintain her composure till the end of 2 hours which she succeeded in, thankfully.
