First Date

I had a lot of things to do today. Starting off with the most important one which was taking care of the Russian bastard who thought they could get away with stealing my shit.

I got a report back from Arturo saying that he found the guy in charge, and he put him in the third warehouse.

Before you think I'm dumb for getting ready to kill a man over weapons, imagine you were in my place. 

I pulled into the long driveway. This warehouse was underneath a shed, so you didn't know it was even there. 

I walked down into the warehouse and open the door to the room he was in. He was covered in blood and his wrists were tied behind the chair. I knew I was going to have a good time with this one. 

While I was at work today a cute guy came in and asked for my number. Of course, I didn't give him my number, but I offered him my Instagram and he took it.

He asked to take me out when I got out of work, so I agreed. I didn't have to go into work tomorrow anyway so I can have a little fun. 

He told me to dress formal but a bit classy at the same time. So, I did. 

When he picked me up it was around 9:30 and we went to this beautiful restaurant. It was packed full, so I wonder how he got us a reservation.

We talked for a moment then the waiter came and asked for our food. 

While he was ordering I noticed Domenico and Nicolo on the other side of the room. They both had serious expressions, so I chose not to give a quick hello.

Not like I wanted to talk to Nicolo anyway. 

When he finished ordering his food the waiter asked what I wanted. But before I even got the chance to speak, I was interrupted. 

"She'll have the Caesar salad with no croutons and a water on the side. " He passed the waiter our menus and he gave me an apologetic look.

"Oh, that's not what I wanted though, I was going to order the stuffed salmon with rice..." I looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"Well, it seems like you eat enough carbs don't you think?" He took a sip from his water.

"Excuse me this is supposed to be a date you aren't my work out instructor." I raised my voice a bit catching glances from people at surrounding tables. 

In the process I noticed Nicolo staring at my table. I apologized to the guy for raising my voice but who was he to dictate what I'm eating. 

Plus, I'm not overweight I guess he just didn't like the slight tummy I had. But what can he expect I'd die without it there to protect my organs so. 

"I'm leaving. " I grabbed my purse and headed outside. I was going to have to wait twenty minutes for my uber and it was pouring rain outside. 

There was no way I was going back in there after causing a scene. God that was embarrassing. 

After around 5 minutes of waiting a heard the doors open. I stepped out of the way to let whoever it was walk past me. 

When they walked past me, I saw who it was.

"Get in the car Kehlani, I'm taking you home." He said lowly while continuing to walk to the car.

As much as I didn't want to listen to what he was saying I did. I did not want to stand in the rain for 15 more minutes.

"Hurry up before I leave you here. " He got into the car. I ran in the rain to the car. My feet were soaked.

When I got into the car, he had the seat warmer on and the heat was all the way up.

"As much as I don't like you, thank you for taking me home. " I mumbled while fiddling with my fingers.

" Don't speak. " He said with a straight face. Wow wonder what got to him today probably waking up this morning.

We arrived at my house 10 minutes later and I thanked him again. He waited on me to get inside then drove off. 

I got in the shower and turned on a movie. I got comfortable and just started thinking. 

Maybe he wasn't so bad?
