Journey to Belonging

Amidst the crowds
Of hundreds on the road,
All rushing towards destinations,
In a relentless race I never chose.

In the sweltering summer's heat,
I yearn to soar like birds,
To fly freely wherever I please,
High above the earth.

But like a caged creature,
I struggle to break free,
My beloved flowers always out of reach,
As distant as the horizon.

Dreams elude my grasp,
Like an old, empty building,
Haunted by memories I can't shake,
Yet still longing for something more.

In this place I call home,
Yet feels foreign to my soul,
I walk amongst familiar faces,
But still feel like an outsider.

Seeking solace in a foreign land,
Amongst thorns and shadows,
I find my place amidst the blooms,
Where I truly belong.

As the guiding clouds dissipate,
This place remains my sanctuary,
Where winds whisper secrets,
And flowers bloom eternally.
