She danced within
His mind's maze,
Driving him wild.
In his grasp,
She seemed close,
Almost within reach,
Yet, like the wind,
She slipped away,
Out of sight.

“Jake, bring me a coffee and give me the file of the shortlisted candidates for the PA.”
Alan ordered through the intercom.

A week had slipped by since the incident of the interview. During this time, Evanna had been coming into the office regularly, despite Alan's repeated assurances that her assistance wasn't necessary. Despite his protests, Evanna persisted, much to Alan's growing frustration.

While Alan would have welcomed Evanna's help if she had genuinely intended to assist him, he found himself increasingly irritated by her presence. Instead of lending a hand with his tasks, Evanna seemed more inclined to meddle in Alan's business affairs, much to his dismay. Despite his best efforts to dissuade her, Evanna remained resolute in her determination to be involved, leaving Alan to grapple with a sense of unease over the intrusion into his professional domain.

Hanging up, Alan returned to reviewing the recent project plan when his phone suddenly rang. With a furrowed brow, he answered the call, only to be met with an irate voice on the other end.

"Mr. Flex, I didn’t expect such unprofessionalism from you. How could you try to double-cross me? You promised me one thing and are arranging everything oppositely."
The voice accused angrily.
"If you didn’t have any intention of respecting my opinion, then why did you ask for it in the first place?"

"Mr. Simon, what are you talking about?"
Alan responded, his tone tinged with confusion.

The voice on the other end grew increasingly agitated.
"So now you're gonna pretend that you didn’t change the market strategy?"

"What are you saying? Why would I change the market strategy without discussing it with you? As I gave my word, I will be proceeding just the way you said. In fact, just now I was reviewing the documents."
He explained calmly, trying to defuse the tension.

"Really? Then how come your company delivered me a completely different strategy plan proposal?"
Mr.Simon demanded, his frustration palpable.

Before Alan could respond, Mr. Simon made his decision clear.
"Look, Mr. Flex, I don’t have time to argue with such an unprofessional businessman like you. And I don’t think I will be able to continue in partnership on this project any longer. So, I am calling the partnership off."
He declared before abruptly ending the call.

Alan's heart sank as he stared at his phone, the weight of the situation settling heavily upon him. He had just lost a valuable partnership, all because of a misunderstanding he couldn't comprehend.

Without wasting a minute, he immediately called his team in his cabin.

"Did you send any new proposal plans to Mr. Simon?"
Alan questioned Jake, the marketing manager, who shook his head in confusion.

"No, sir. Why will the marketing strategy be changed when you finalized it yourself?"
Jake replied, his bewilderment evident.

"Then why did Mr. Simon call and say that we sent him a new plan?"
Alan pressed his frustration mounting.

"Sir, I sent the new proposal plan to Mr. Simon."
Conner, the intern, admitted, his voice tinged with anxiety.

"What new proposal? We never made any changes in the first place."
Jake interjected, his confusion growing.
