17(The final Competition)

There was a minute of silence, when Abhinav said, "I actually wanted to say there's some dried drool on your chin" He said trying to control his laugh.

"WHAT? NO WAY! You must be kidding me" The girl shouted in horror, quickly going to stand in front of the mirror and rubbing her chin furiously to find nothing there. She stood there for a moment and glared at the boy from the mirror. "You freaking son of-"

"Hey! No cuss words, please maintain the pg 13 here" He laughed putting on the song on the speaker.

It was after an hour that the four of them met together in Gaurangi and Satvat's room again. "Damn I'm tried now, I don't have the energy to dance with Yati now" Abhinav said lying down on the floor. "You danced for barely half an hour" Aarna pointed out sitting beside Gaurangi.

"Your point?" He looked at her with narrowed eyes. "That your stamina is too weak for a dancer" Gaurangi said rolling her eyes. "What do you even know about my stamina?" Abhinav asked with a smirk on his face.

"Look who's not maintaining the pg 13 now" Aarna said rolling her eyes, while Gaurangi had a disgusted expression on her face.

"Are you ready?" It was the final day of the competition everyone awaited for. The excitement mixed with nervousness was filled in the green room at the back of the stage. Every participant looked confident yet nervous, fully prepared for performance yet not prepared for the final results at all, perfectly dressed up and undressed the layer of fear from them.

Gaurangi and Aarna stood  at one corner of the room having their conversation. "Y'know I was born ready for dance" The dancer said taking a small sip from her water bottle. "Man I don't know how you stay in behind these hundreds of layers and not get suffocated by these heavy ass jewelleries" Aarna said fanning herself.

"You just get used to it" Gaurangi shrugged staring at a particular spot of the room. "Searching for someone?" Aarna asked looking in the direction the dancer's eyes were stuck at. "Oh god not him" The artist grumbled rubbing her temples.

"It doesn't even matter, besides it was obvious he would participate" Gaurangi mumbled rolling her eyes. "Yeah yeah it doesn't matter, whatever helps you float the boat" Aarna said going across the room.

"Oii Mr. athlete I guess you should have a quick convo with your partner before the performance, don't you think so?" Aarna said to Satvat who was dressed up in white short kurta tucked in his classic bharatnatyam pants which was also white in color with it's border laced in golden. His hair was kept messy to match with his dance.

"Yea I think so, Don't you think this makeup is very overdone? I can't even recognize myself" Satvat mumbled touching his eyes with his index finger which were smacked by Aarna.

"Don't do that, it'll spoil your makeup or worse something will go in your eyes. Besides it's the traditional makeup of Bharatnatyam and there's nothing over in it. When you'll perform at the stage it'll bring out your facial features and expressions. I hope you practiced your expressions" Aarna said looking at him expectedly.

"Yeah Gaurangi devoted two days solely to teach me the correct expressions, I won't say I have mastered it but yeah I guess I can do it" Satvat said making Aarna sigh.

"Y'know Dance is Gaurangi's passion, hobby, first love whatever you say it, I don't want her to lose in this so please for her sake I am begging you to give your best" The artist looked at him with hopeful eyes and gave him a small smile.
