Insert Where I Asked

Untitled Part 5

The two partners both nodded and 404 spoke up.

"So are you gay or something?" 

Tommy hated that question, it was dangerous. Everyone in his most recent high school knew him as a guy so when he was asked that question and he answered honestly, people stopped being friends with him. He had been kicked out of foster homes for that kinda thing. Been bullied and made fun of too much for just a simple question... But these two were hero's, and Tommy was currently going through a section of the website where 404s writing was in and saw fanfictions, of him and- yeah nvm it was safe to tell them.

"Im not exactly gay, I'm actually bi romantic, I like guys more than women but I'll date a woman." Tommy shrugs and closes 404s laptop and hands it back to him. "Your books in there are kinda sus too." Tommy grins and he swears he can see 404's face go red under the goggles."Anyway i should probably kick you two out." He sighs to himself and stands up. "I really dont wanna see you two fuck on my floor." Tommy motions towards the hero and vigilante pair whom of which were pressed firmly against each other.

Dream let out a bark of laughter which quickly turned into a loud wheeze which rocked the smaller hero under him. Tommy carefully pressed his foot into dreams side and pushed him off of 404. The hero immediately got up and pulled his partner to his feet. Dream laughter more when he saw 404's cheeks which were beet red under the goggles.

"Awwww your blushing." He teased and leaned onto 404's shoulder.

"You two are hopeless." Tommy mumbles as he heads behind the counter and into the back room. He checks the dryness of his binder and seeing as it was fully dry he locked the back room door and changed into it. He returned to the main area with a rag in hand and smiled at the two. "Alright get out. I gotta close this place." Tommy crosses his arms with a dramatic sigh.

"But Tommy." Dream drags out his name as he drops his arm across Tommy's shoulder. "You can't leave me with this stuck up hero." He wines and 404 lets out a snort.

"Cry about it big man. Plus that's no way to talk about your boyfriend." Tommy shakes his head and pulls away from dreams arm, going over to a dirty looking table and wiping it down. 

"Actually Tommy, me and 404 aren't together." Bream bears a smile but the glow in his eyes have dimmed instrumentally. "We dont even know each others actual identities." His voice drops and his smile fades slightly and he grabs 404s laptop from the hero and puts it into the hero's bag.

"Wait really?" Tommy looks up at Dream and 404 with a raised brow as he walks toward another table. "Don't you two flirt like, all the time on the news and shit?" 

404 sighs. "The only reason we do is because the community loves 40-Dream too much and the hero commission would loose a couple donors if dream was imprisoned. Yet the commission wont give dream a hero license." 404 walks up to the door with lemonade in hand. "But yeah, we better head out. We have a patrol later tonight." 404 shruggs.

"Bye Tommy!" Dream smiles as the two walk out of the shop leaving Tommy by himself.

Tommy finishes his cleaning routine and locks the front of the cafe from the inside then makes his way to the back. He changes into his vigilante costume which was that of a white hoodie with red sleeves and light brown cargo pants. He pulls on his face mask that covers the lower half of his face and leaves out the back door making sure to lock it on his way out.

Tommy looked up at the fire escape above him and flicked his right wrist pulling out his metal staff and using it to hook onto the bottom step of the ladder and pulling it down. He jogged up the steps skipping 2 at a time as he held onto the railing. Under the mask, Tommy was smiling. Exited to be free from everything as he made it to the top and stared at the bigger part of the city that was far from where he was. He hadn't patrolled once since the night with 404, it's unnerving that 404 had also been patrolling almost every night since that happened but Tommy wouldn't let that get to him. He was a big man who wasn't intimidated by hero's.
