Guardian Angel Part 8

Start from the beginning

Uzi groaned, a part of her was hoping N had some sort of magical angel way of handling her dad, she didn't want to actually talk to him! Ew!

The small worker at least wanted to have some fun first, so what could she do with her oversized angelic puppy to pass the time?

We could go to the mall...I kinda need new clothes and him magically producing his own is kinda creepy.

"Hey N, how about we go shopping? It should get me in a good mood before we talk to my dad" Uzi offered, smiling at N. The angel seemed confused by the offer, but felt a strange thought join the others: He could help her pick out clothes...

Grinning at the idea of Uzi wearing an outfit of his choice, N simply nodded at her suggestion and sat up, reluctantly releasing Uzi from his embrace.

Before the two could get dressed however, there was a knock at Uzi's bedroom door, making both teenagers panic. N quickly jumped up into the vent while Uzi tried to make the bed look like only one side was used.

We both curled up in the middle- he'll see the blanket is in the centre!

Khan opened the door to see his teenage daughter sitting on her bed, smiling softly at him while holding a book upside down. Definitely not suspicious at all.

"Uzi, I've just heard from the head, apparently his daughter is missing- you're in her class right? Do you know where she is?" Khan asked, seeming genuinely concerned. Uzi's mouth gaped slightly...Lizzy was missing? Sure she hated her- but how could she just disappear?

Noticing how Uzi seemed surprised by the news, Khan simply sighed and shut her bedroom door, he would have to go out a look for Lizzy without any clues this afternoon.

Uzi took a second to process Lizzy's disappearance, would she run away? No...could someone have got her? Who?

"N, you can come down now" Uzi said after taking a breath to remove her shock, the vent stayed closed, nobody came out. "N?" Uzi asked, looking up at the vent, but again it stayed shut.

Thinking N must have 'angel business' like yesterday, Uzi got dressed into her typical angsty outfit, though decided against the hoodie as the mall tended to be really warm.

As Uzi opened her bedroom door & waved to her father on the couch, the front door bell rang, making Khan instantly jump up- thinking it may be news about Lizzy.

It wasn't Lizzy or any other drone Khan knew, it was a tall student drone dressed in casual yellow & grey clothes, wearing the brightest smile Khan had ever seen. A wave of positivity washed over the concerned father at the sight of him- though he'd never met whoever this was before.

"Hello Mr Doorman! My name's N, I'm here to pick up your daughter" the boy chirped, making Uzi turn purple and Khan gasp.

This boy...was here for his daughter?!? She had a boyfriend?!? Or even just a friend?!? Such a polite & good looking one as well!

Khan grinned at N "Well hello! Nice to meet you, are you from Uzi's class?"

"Yes sir, I'm fairly new, but Uzi has made me feel very welcome- so I was hoping to pay her back by taking her to the mall" N glanced at Uzi while he lied, her visor was coated completely in purple, the angel tried his best not to laugh at her adorably confused face.

Unlike most fathers, who tended to grow hard hearts at the sight of potential suitors for their daughters, Khan was simply overjoyed at the idea of such a nice boy being interested in his daughter. She had always been such a loner.

"Of course! Uzi you ready to go out?" Khan chirped, sounding far more enthusiastic than Uzi had ever heard, why was he so happy about this?!!

Probably something about Ns angel presence or whatever making him happy.

Despite her serious blush, Uzi nodded and stepped towards the door, N grinned wider and Uzi could swear he was blushing as well.

WHY DID HE HAVE TO MAKE IT LIKE A DATE!?!

The two drones left the apartment and Uzi led the way to the mall, dodging N's eyes as much as possible, N noticed that but didn't comment.

"Uzi, I wanted to ask you something"
