Finding Out Part II

"So if Solus Prime was your leader, you were built trillions of years ago during the Dawn Age." Jazz claimed. "Yeah, so that makes me older than all of you, I should be dead by now." Bee looked away for a second but then looked back when Arcee put a hand on his shoulder and smiled, "Well I-we are glad you not, now keep on explaining." Bee took a moment to look at her eyes and admire the way they glowed in the night. "Oh um- alright, so after we joined the CMC, we were assigned to get samples of different diseases, infections, and plagues. It was dangerous work because if we even spilled one drop on us we could have serious effects. Yeah and then one day I spilled some on me." Bee then turned his leg towards Ratchet to reveal a mark. "You recognize this Doc?" Ratchet took a longer look at Bee's leg before answering, "Cybertonic Virus." Everyone except Bee and Ratchet were confused until Ironhide asked the obvious, "What is that exactly?" Ratchet turned towards him and sighed, "It was a virus common before the Golden Age. It was like Rust, but slower and more painful, it could take millions of years before the virus finished you off. It went for the joints of a living being and slowly ate at them, wearing them down until eventually once it spread through all the joints you just fell apart."

"Primus." Elita imaged the pain someone would feel knowing they slowly were dying. Bee cleared his throat module before continuing, "We were in the field getting samples when Barricade spilled some of it on me. Soundwave was the first one to notice it and the crazy bot got his blade out and sliced my leg clean off, I screamed in agony and the rest of the group wondered why he did it. After he explained we left my leg behind since it was contaminated. They gave me a new leg and had to melt it together, which was painful. It left this nasty mark after it cooled. This is when Barricade started trying to find a way to cheat "death," he spent most of his time reading about old legends and got information from Soundwave due to what he learned about Helex culture. It was around this time Soundwave started a relationship, they eventually married and had a sparkling. I was his best bot, he became a lot softer since he was more happy. Barricade was too busy to find a lover and I was trying to get Windblade and Starscream hooked to no success since he always fumbled his chances." Bee smiled remembering back in the past. "Sounds like you had a pretty good group," Chromia said putting her hand near her torso which had a new sparkling. Bee looked at her and then back at the ground.

"Then things changed, the Unicrous Outbreak happened. You wanna educate them doc?" Bee signaled Ratchet to explain, "Unicrous Disease was deadly, if you contracted it you had a 98% chance of death. Even now it's at 45% since there is no cure, you just have to Bee strong enough to survive it. You would know if you have it if you had black spots all over you and your optics started turning purple, It was very contagious which made it a common threat to us." Bee thanked Ratchet before continuing, "Soundwave and his sparkling were in the city when the Outbreak happened, both of them got infected and became very ill. We got word and all of us including Soundwave's lover traveled to the Praxus Medical Facility, we all started worrying that they wouldn't make it. Barricade took it the worst of all, he thought he should have been able to do something to save our friend. He didn't want any of us to die so he took more time into finding a cure and cheating death."

Flashback

"Soundwave's vitals appear to be stabilizing, we will do the best we can." The doctor explained to the group. "Thank Primus, I hope he gets better soon," Windblade exclaimed. "Thank you, doctor. I care about him, I would never forgive myself if he was gone." Soundwave's lover Nitrous said with a smile while she held Soundwave's hand. Bee stayed when it came for lunch, "Come on Wave get up, you got a family to take care of. You've been through worse, the wars, and disease, don't give in now." Bee tried contacting Barricade but to no success, "I worry sometimes. Barricade I think is slowly losing his mind, he is more unstable than usual." Soundwave then moved his arm and his vitals increased, "I'll get the doc."

Flashback Ends

"So what happened next?" Jazz asked and Arcee answered, "He still alive obviously." Jazz was not amused with Arcee's attitude, "I meant his son." Bee nodded, "He recovered soon after but his son didn't improve. He got worse over time, then Barricade found something that could help him cheat death. A prophecy from the Helexs claimed that there was an Energon type created by the God Of Destruction with power beyond anyone's comprehension. It was deep into the Sea Of Rust, and all of us knew it was not worth the risk so we all turned down the search. Barricade claimed that this was their way to fame, riches, and respect, we all didn't care about that at the moment as we tried to find a cure for Soundwave's young sparkling. I'm going to play a video I took, it shows what happened next." Bee then took out a holograph projector and played the recording,

"He's losing vitals fast quick get the stabilizer!" The doctor yelled to one of the nurse bots as Nitrous begged them to do something, Soundwave held her back as Bee was recording. "3, 2, 1, inject!" They put in the stabilizer as they tried to pump out as much of the disease as possible. "We're losing him!" The nurse yelled as they worked. "Come on Waver, you can make it. Wake up, momma misses you." Nitrous said to her son as he was dying, Soundwave could only muster a few words. "I'm sorry son, forgive me." Bee then covers the camera with a blank line being heard with the sobs of Nitrous in the background. "Sparkling Waver pronounced dead at 31:83 cycle." The Doctor recites as the recording ends.

Ironhide and Chromia hold each other as Ironhide wraps his arm around Chromia's torso. "Damn, I wish I never asked." Jazz shook his head as Optimus was disturbed by the recording. "Nitrous later self-destructs soon after Waver's death leaving Soundwave depressed and angry. He then becomes convinced by Barricade to find a way to cheat death to stop further suffering. We all decided to help Barricade after Waver and Nitrous's deaths left effects on us. So we headed into the Sea Of Rust." Bee then got up to get another drink of Energon and came back to everyone more comfortably placed with Optimus and Elita together, Ironhide and Chromia, Ratchet sitting while Jazz leaned on a post, and Arcee sitting next to him, "Alright back to the story." Elita spoke up as they watched Bee sit next to Arcee.

"We took a ship into the Sea Of Rust and followed a map, then we found this temple. We decided to explore it and found a key, it was not related to our little treasure hunt but I still took it as a reminder that I visited the Sea, and we then found a statue of Unicron. We wondered how such a thing could exist on Cybertron, we followed the path the Statue had and found a palace. The map had the X on the location so we were in the right spot. Soon we found the Energon we had been looking for the whole journey. It was purple and glowing, I didn't want to go near it so I read some text near it. It was called Dark Energon, made from the blood of Unicron The Destroyer. Before I could warn the others Barricade had injected himself with it, and soon all of them had injected Dark Energon in them. They would not listen no matter how many times I told them that was the blood of Unicron, that they had made themselves slaves to him. So I stole the Dark Energon, attempting to destroy it. They chased after me, calling me a traitor to the Cybertrionan People. Once I found a hiding spot I asked Primus to help me, that not only him but everything he had built was in danger of this substance. Primus then responded by giving the ultimate punishment to the disciples of Unicron. I led all of them on a rock in which Primus chained them and turned them to stone, you could see their screaming faces when they turned to stone either from agony or rage towards me. Primus then informed me that I could no longer leave this Sea so that I may live the rest of eternity watching over those four. Those four that I had considered friends." Bee finished finally explaining the background he had with them. Just then they heard a shout in the distance, "BUMBLEBEE! YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME, I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF CYBERTRON!"
