Avilasa walks onto the Bridge and over to Spock with a handmade device in her hand then says "I need your help"  he looks at her then at the device in her hand and asks "what is it!?"  she replies "if we do a good enough job I hope it will become something that can protect us from the unknown radiation that is causing my headache and the rest of the crews memory loss"  then she says in Vulcan "and I'd rather get it done before you push me up against your console and fuck me in front of Erica if that is going to happen it's going to be in our dreams not in front of a "live studio audience".."  he smirks then says "you're right you do know too much about Earth"  she chuckles then replies "well when I learn about something I REALLY LEARN about something and I spent 10 years being bored on Earth so I learned everything I could to alleviate that boredom I really have no idea how Pelia does it! I mean she spent who knows how many years on Earth so I can somewhat see how she could get bored then again the Earth has changed so much throughout the years and in truth it's her own fault that she stayed in one place and didn't travel and here I thought they were supposed to be smart!"  he laughs then takes the device she had started to create and they work on it together and create a shield harmonic which protects everyone on the ship from the radiation that is causing the headaches and memory loss and he was happy that they finally worked on as well as created something together and when Christopher and his Landing Party return to the Enterprise Christopher decides to break another Federation rule and remove the asteroid that was causing the people on the planet to experience the same memory loss as the crew but for far too much longer than they did via a Tractor Beam.... before Christopher meets with Batel he goes in search of Avilasa who was in the Crew Lounge playing her Vulcan Lute and singing Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd  which makes him chuckle he bursts out laughing when she winks at him he walks over to where Spock sits and stays long enough to hear the whole song then heads to his quarters to meet with the woman he loves to apologize to her for "being stupid"....

On their way to Vulcan to study the moon of a planet known as Kerkhov the crew of the Enterprise was given some "Downtime" and Avilasa had no idea what to do she knew everything she could know that the Federation knows and since she didn't want to leave the ship for unknown reasons she was what Pelia has been half her life.... bored Spock in his own way was avoiding her by asking Christopher to teach him how to cook seeing Spock not spend as much time with Avilasa gave Christine hope that she could take her chance and get closer to him but he was ignoring her and her.... what she thinks are.... wayward glances at him.... which of course he notices but as I said ignores.... and though Spock normally uses his nasal suppressants when around his fellow crew members he doesn't when he's with Avilasa for he loves the way she smells always natural and never with the added what humans call perfume and since they spend quite a bit of time in her quarters which is one of his favorite places to be he knows the scent of every herb used in cooking and he informs Christopher of this which makes his Captain smile much like Chapel does with him Spock is constantly following Avilasa wherever she goes with his eyes she's always around during meetings and though she tunes off the rest of the world around her she's always cleaning up after the slob known as Sam while doing her best not to touch him which Spock finds most interesting for he knows she likes him as a friend but something about him also bothers her and she never says what perhaps it has something to do with how they first met and everytime she cleans up after Sam she winks at Spock which makes him hide a smile the next time Spock sees Avilasa she's in the Crew Lounge playing her Vulcan Lute and singing a song he was told is called Iris by a Band once known as Goo Goo Dolls and he paid more attention to her singing than the people he was sitting with.... Una, Uhura, La'an and Ortegas who was telling a story which the others found amusing and luckily they didn't seem all that angry at him for not actually listening to what they were saying as a matter of fact they all seemed to be smiling at the fact that his attention was only on Avilasa "I love her voice too"  Uhura says softly the other women nod in agreement the odd thing was Spock wondered if there was a message in this song and who it was for after all there seemed to be a message in the last song he heard her sing which she had told him Christopher introduced her to and when he asked his Captain about it Christopher replied with a smile "she told me that I seem comfortably numb with my fear of romantic commitment and in many ways she may be right but I'm hopefully going to be able to change that soon"  Spock found his reply to be a curious one but never asked him to elaborate instead he turned his attention back to the Kitsune he knows he loves with every beat of his heart and so much more but can't actually show it because he is committed to T'Pring at the moment when Spock found out Chapel was his copilot in the shuttle flyby of the Kerkhovian moon which he found disappointing for he had hoped it would be Avilasa but he attempted to make what the humans call "small talk" with her anyway for he had to get his mind off the news he had wished to share with Avilasa that he was to have his Ceremonial Dinner with T'Pring and her family he knows she likes T'Pring's father.... as long as he wasn't with his wife.... but dislikes T'Pring's mother who deplores her as well the attempt of small talk with Chapel was slightly awkward but he somehow managed anyway.... Avilasa was worried about the stable vortex, a rupture in space-time for who knows what could happen within it and with Spock.... and Chapel flying directly toward it she now had SOMEONE to worry about as well the weird thing was she was hoping that it would be more like the Illyrians in the storm on the Planet Hetemit IX and not cause harm to the Vulcan she loves and HIS friend.... Avilasa walks into Sickbay just as Spock sits up and looks at his reflection in a mirror then says "what the fuck!?!"  she says playfully with a smile in her tone "what colorful language you have learned during your service on this ship Mr. Spock! who taught you!?! La'an or Erica!?!"  Christopher bursts out laughing as Spock's head turns a little too fast and he stares at the smiling Kitsune that he loves who was close enough to reach over and touch him which is exactly what she does she slides her the tips of her fingers along the edge of his ear then down to his neck and massages it "in case of whiplash you turned your head a bit quicker than normal"  she says M'Benga chuckles as Spock's body just about sighs with a "expression" of relaxation at her gentle touch Chapel on the other hand looks pissed "it's good that those ears of yours still work I was worried that you may not be able to hear me since they lost their point which I have been told is like a radar that helps Vulcans hear!"  she teases Spock chuckles then says with a smile "no one told you that"  she asks with a raised eyebrow "how can you be so sure!?"  his eyes widen she winks at him and he laughs she looks at Christopher and asks with a playful tone "is it odd that I miss the eyebrows!?!"  Christopher and M'Benga laugh Spock raises a eyebrow at her "well I guess somethings never change"  she says with a smile he smiles "they only wanted to help you Spock they might not have understood that you are more than most"  she says softly he nods "perhaps we can figure out a way to communicate with them so we can explain that but for now the best thing you can try to do is enjoy this little "experiment" who knows it may give you a better understanding of why humans "just need to laugh" at some things that seem illogical to laugh about"  she adds he smiles "though I must say you getting distracted by a bright white ball of light and becoming in need of such a rescue has some pretty unique timing that'll teach you to get distracted by beautiful things! or one would hope so anyway!"  she says he smiles at her ending tease and the pissed off Chapel looks at them curiously....
