Prom!

"You know.....we could always skip prom"

"No way, not an option. I'm going to that prom"

"Well I tried" Jess shrugged

Sabrina just humorously shook her head.

"Come on let's go to the library or something I need a distraction" Sabrina suggested

Lorelai drove over to to her mother's house. She was determined to help Sabrina find the perfect dress. She took in a deep breath and hesitantly knocked on the door.

"Lorelai! What a wonderful surprise" Emily said answering the door

"Hi mom."

"What brings you here?"

"Well, I uh have a little question to ask"

"Oh, sounds serious. Come on in" Emily stepped out of the way for Lorelai to come inside

"Thanks" Lorelai smiled

"Well what is it?"

"I was wondering if you still had all my dresses from high school. You know from homecoming, proms or even your weird events" Lorelai awkwardly asked

"Well whatever would you need those for?" Emily questioned

"They're for Sabrina, she's been looking for weeks for the perfect dress for her prom. And you're always talking about how we both have the same strange taste so you know, I thought maybe there's something of mine she might like"

Emily froze then smiled.

"You know, it just so happens I have all of your dresses stored upstairs" Emily stood up from her chair and headed towards the stairs.

"Thanks mom. This means a lot."

Later in the evening Lorelai sat in her living room excitedly waiting for Sabrina to come home. The two Gilmore twins walked through the front door, and got startled by Lorelai. They both nearly jumped out of their skin.

"I got a surprise" Lorelai suspiciously smiled

"I love surprises!" Sabrina excitedly clapped her hands together

"Do I want any part of this?" Rory worriedly asked

"Oh yeah" Lorelai nodded

Lorelai told the girls to wait in the living room. She then rushed upstairs and came back with a pile of dress bags in her hand.

"What's this?" Sabrina asked

"All my old dresses from high school, I know you've been stressing about finding your dress. And I'm not saying you have to wear any of these, but I thought maybe you'll find some inspiration, and general idea of what you maybe want or not want. And if not it'll be fun to play a little dress up" Lorelai smiled

"Oh my god! Thank you" Sabrina said hugging her mother

Lorelai and Sabrina broke away and turned to hear Rory erupt in laughter. She was holding one of the dresses, it was ruffles upon ruffles.

"your grandmother chose that one" Lorelai defended quickly grabbing the dress

"You so have to try that on" Sabrina joined in the laughter

"What? Me? No, this is supposed to be for you"

"I think it should be for all of us" Sabrina smiled

The girls spent the next few hours trying on dresses. They made fun of some of them but also loved a few of them. They blasted music, danced and sung around in them.

Sabrina found one last bag and unzipped it. It revealed the most beautiful dress Sabrina had ever seen.

"My dress" Sabrina quietly said

"What's that hon?" Lorelai asked hearing her daughter's voice

"This is it!" Sabrina said getting more excited

"What?"

"My dress, I found my dress!" Sabrina fully took out the dress and held it up to her body

"Pretty!" Rory said

"Oh that's a gorgeous one" Lorelai said admiring Sabrina

"My dress" Sabrina quietly said to herself, while hugging the dress closer
