The southern counties of California are notorious For being crazy little artistic goofballs who are too attractive for their own good and would probably meet the same fate as Icarus if given the chance.
Well, four of them in particular...
Los Angel...
Once the group finished their dinner, they headed out to the fabric store near San Francisco's home, and grabbed all the fabrics, bows, and sequins their hearts desired. San Diego noticed Imperial, Seattle, and Portland weren't grabbing as much as the rest of the group.
"Are you guys going skimpy, or are you just gonna buy suits and customize them later?" San Diego asked.
"We decided that were gonna just bejewel some old Ren Fair outfits we already have," Portland said.
"Imperial, you've been to a Ren Fair?" San Diego asked.
"No, but Seattle told me I can borrow his old Warlock robes so I'm happy," Imperial said. San Diego smiled and nodded. He turned to see Orange and LA giggling with each other while modeling different fabrics together. Seeing LA genuinely laugh gave him a warm feeling in his chest.
"Ey capitán, what are we smiling at?" Riverside teased, resting his head on San Diego's shoulder and peering playfully at the girls. San Diego shoved his brother off of him, trying not to appear flustered.
"Nothing... let's pay for our stuff and head back to San Francisco's place... we gotta get to work on our outfits!" San Diego exclaimed.
That night, the group had a blast essentially playing dress-up together. And by the end of the weekend, a majority of the group had their outfits ready to go for the gala.
Orange's look was (obviously) orange-themed, with an emphasis on bows and drama:

LA's look was perfectly pink, looking like a pearl-clad barbie doll- or Elle Woods having a fun night out:

San Francisco's look was heavily inspired by Snow White, with a sparkly flair and golden accents:

Meanwhile, San Diego was feeling a more fairy-like vibe (and of course, found a way to still be wearing some comfortable footwear while still looking fancy):
