After a tiring day ,
I decided to come back home
Having my supplies dropped on the floor
I jumped on the bed and got my phone out
Suddenly I noticed someone had called me for over 10 times
It was my mom !
I tried to recall if I had done something wrong because I feared her terribly.
I called her up and was extremely nervous throughout
When she picked up the call it felt as if the world had come to a stop
She spoke ," hi lily, called up to tell you that your father has decided to get you married to someone "
He would be meeting you at Rose Cafe at around 8 pm so be ready in your best attire ."
Oh shit! here we go again
I had avoided this very topic for a long time since I wanted to enjoy being single but I can't really talk up againt mom so I said nothing .
One thing that has been consistent throughout my life is my father and my mom always had their decisions forced unto me .
It was exactly 7.30 and I decided it doesn't harm to make new friends
So I got ready with the song greedy playing by Tate Mc Rae in the background .
I put on a black satin slit , sleeveless dress , sprayed my limited edition Dior perfume and wore a deep red lipstick with mascara I was then finally ready
I called on to a cab and went towards Rose Cafe which is usually bustling with souls on weekdays. I entered the Cafe and somehow everyone in the room was captivated by my beauty , they were staring at me with so much of intent . It felt creepy as well as cute because I am an introvert .
Suddenly a message appeared on my screen
Brian had texted ..
My baby girl
What's upp ?
Ready to meet your fiance !??
I was astounded thinking what the hell just happened
Did my father set me up with my CEO?
My worst nightmare ever .....
I spotted Brian but something was different about him
He wore a black shirt with his sleeves rolled up and a Rolex watch .
He looked really handsome and I said , " Don't fall for him Lily "
I realized I said it out loud
Brian stared at me with a smirk and he looked at me as if he was spellbound
Brian said ," liked my surprise? I told you at club that I would like to see you more often "
The thing is you are my type Lily
I was wondering if we could date ..
Lily Benson was quite for a while trying to process what he said ..
