as the year hits the third month of 2024, ukiyo started its first round of activities with a unique debut, leaving the ukiyo fan community shaken up because of the different debut sequence it followed.
derived from latin 'vesper', this seven-member boy group was revealed through a film release showcasing different scenes of what seems to be a connected storyline to ukiyo's previous groups. aside from the boys, the film also introduced a related character, portrayed by actress chae taeha, better known as chaeha, that made fans question what each of the casts' roles are in this story.
this five-minute film not only dropped a big ukiyo lore with a lot of floating question marks for the theory crafting part of the community, but it also shifted a lot of spotlight on a rumored renovation in the current company building. ukiyo creative ceos, lim hankyeo and yoo junho, verified the rumors as true, revealing the reason behind the multiple delays they had to face during vesper's upcoming debut. according to their statement, an indoor garden has been recently added, fundamental for the company and representing its lore, as described through their artists.
on another note, the two ceos also added that the making of their merch and magazine edition for months' january and february will resume. no themes or content spoilers were revealed but fans are already speculating a reversed version of the first ukiyo magazine, 'COLLECTION HELL MAGAZINE' which combines different clothing styles and customized accessories like caps and tote bags.
the release date of said collection has yet to be announced, while details for the upcoming events that were scheduled before the delay of activities haven't been disclosed either. what are your guesses on this year's collection? comment down below!
