It was the month of December now and our neighborhood like every year arranged Christmas party. It was my first Christmas after all I got dressed in warm clothes for the party in evening and like everyday habit stepped out in my balcony to peek into the going onn decoration in the neighbourhood and also to collect the scent of cold winter breeze. Suddenly my eyes landed on a strange man, I haven't seen this person ever in the past half year. He was talking and laughing with the other neighbours and I somehow kept looking at him suddenly my mom called me 'Yamika come down dear we have to move out of the house for the party as already begun' I stopped looking at him and went down shouting 'yes mom let's go, there are so many people outside already we are probably late'. We went out and all were sitting gossiping with eachother. In the middle there was a campfire burning onn to keep all of us warm and every one were busy dancing and singing and enjoying in themselves. I don't know y but somehow my parents introduced me with that strange man. He lived just opposite our house and was the son of our neighbours (The Parekhs) He was working in New York in a stock market company as an intern. Although I know our neighbours and had few interaction with them in the past but I didn't know that they had a son too. His family members were father-mother, elder brother who was married lived in near by town and had son, elder sister again who was married and lived in Boston, than him and his younger sister(vedika) who was my friend and my classmate too we studied in same school and most of the time hanged out together but I always thought that they were only three siblings and didn't know about the fourth one. He looked at me with a bright smile and extended his hand to greet me. He told 'hey there I'm Niketan Parekh, you can call me Nick' I was staring right into his eyes and felt some kind of nervousness to shake hands with him and somehow spoke in a low voice 'I'm Yamika Sharma' he didn't hear my name properly and asked me again 'sorry I can't hear you could you speak a little louder' and suddenly came a little closer to me I felt something unusual for the first time and spoke very loudly I'm Yamika! And stepped back from him He told me 'you seem to be new here, are you a student'? I nodded yes and told him 'I am going now over the other side as my friends are calling me' and waved bye with a smile and left, I felt those eyes watching me departing from him, that night was pleasent we all enjoyed alot and went back to our house that was the first interaction I had with him....
