A heart to heart, a conversation deep
When he talked about his illness, a heart I couldn't keep
Sad and worried, I can' deny
Yet his determination, I won't let it die
A promise made, to fight with his might
To live on, for me a gift so bright
My love for him, a flame that burns strong
A flame that'll carry us, through life's life-long
So I'll stand by him, through thick and thin
And with his love, my life will win
For I was never loved, like how he does
A love that's rare, and I'll ever need.
