That night at the country club, there was so much love and fun,
With family and friends together, as we began to dine.
But little did he know, the jealousy that he'd have,
When he saw me with my crush, playing Call of Duty with such a grin.
I tried to convince him not to be, but he wouldn't listen,
He kept ignoring me, like I didn't even exist, within his vision.
But I didn't give up, our friendship was worth fighting for,
So I kept on trying, with tears ready to spill on the floor.
That night, I was all alone, in the corner, typing away,
My best friend filmed me being serious, as I tried save the day.
But he seemed ready to give up, our friendship on the rocks,
And I couldn't let that happen, so I kept on giving my love, with all of my socks.
I was devasted, sad, and wanted to cry,
But I didn't want to show that to any other eye.
So I went home, and cried all night long,
And in the end, I realized love is about hanging on, as strong.
