It was in the middle of the night, and there was a report we had to write
About basketball rules and positions, I asked for help from a friend so bright.
I was a bit nervous, worried I might mess it up,
But he didn't leave me behind, he said he'd do what he could.
He sent me examples, told me what to say
How to follow the actions, rules, and explain it clearly, all the way.
It was a great feeling, to know that I had someone I could rely on,
When things got tough, I knew he wouldn't let me down.
And when it was time to turn in the report, I felt a sense of relief,
I knew that he had helped me, and that I'd done what I could belief
We turned it in together, a team working in perfect harmony,
It was a great moment, one that I'll treasure always, you see.
