Nate was a Human who lost his parents in the explosion, he was attacked by a Oni until he was saved by The Blasters, he soon learns something about his family tree and well soon realize he is The Next Yokai Emperor.

SV: There nothing at the river right now, so I still got time before the fish come back.

Nate: Look, you two can't keep fighting over a river just because you two are different species of Yokai, let's make it easy without arguing or fighting.

Mermaidyn: a year ago he was fishing at the Ocean with Cap'n Crash, they were both wanted for trying to capture my mother who lead the Mermaid Tribe, it was a good thing me and the other mermaids could control water and made giant waves to get them to let go of my mother.
Nate: so he is one of the two Yokai that tried to kidnap the leader of The Mermaid Tribe?
Mermaidyn: Yes.
Faux Kappa: what do you want?
SV: I'm here to take him.
Nate: What?
Whisper: he is not going anywhere with you!
SV: Says the one who looks like a marshmallow.
Whisper: What?!
Nate: why do you want to take me?
SV: They have sent me to capture you and take you to them.
Nate: Who is they?
Before he could say anything, the water in the river started to make waves.

The Waves caused SV to go backwards, giant waves started coming towards him, he wasn't able to move his ship and got hit by the giant waves, he was sent flying out from the River.
Faux Kappa: how did you do that?
Mermaidyn: I've always been able to do that when I learn how to control the waves of the ocean.
Faux Kappa: I See...
Nate: I think we should leave you two alone.
Mermaidyn: go ahead...
Nate and The Others walked away.
Faux Kappa & Mermaidyn got in the River and starts swimming, she tells him who she was able to control the waves with her tail while he told her how Kappas could survive underwater without air.
Whisper: it all ends...
Jibanyan: we could see that...
Nate: Whisper... (Looks at him) who is they...?
Whisper: They?
Nate: he said something about being sent by them, what was he talking about?
At The Air, The Hooded Figure Looks from above and teleports somewhere by using a crystal stone.
