Back to Hogwarts

After our small talk that eventually meant a lot, Mattheo and I both went back downstairs. I could of kissed him, but right after Theodore, I felt like it wouldn't be respectful to myself or him.
I knew he was holding back too; he knows it wouldn't be fair after what I've seen between him and Vivienne.
We both entered the living where everyone was suddenly hysterically laughing.

"What's going on there?" I frowned my eyebrows while smiling

Blaise couldn't even respond, he couldn't stop laughing. He might of had a too many drink. On the other hand Theodore looked embarrassed. Oh no, I know what this is about.

"We just played truth with veritaserum and Theodore said the last person he kiss-" Blaise finally responded but was quickly shut down with Pansy putting her hand on his mouth

"With who? Which girl's heart did you break this time Theo?" Mattheo laughed, teasing Theodore, not knowing the last girl he kissed was me.

"Let's just go to bed Mattheo, I'm tired" I'm played it off, knowing Theodore was on veritaserum, not letting him respond

"Well no one's stopping you to go to sleep" vivienne said while giving me dirty look

"Oh this b-" I quickly got cut off by Mattheo holding my arm

"Don't" I got off his grip starting to get mad

"Ava" Theodore finally responded in middle of the chaos that was slowly appearing

"What is it Theodore?" I asked him overwhelmed and annoyed, thinking he was just calling me

"Last person I kissed was Ava" he proceeded to say, not controlling his words due to the potion he was on

I looked at Mattheo not knowing what to say

"How ironic..." he chuckled, with hatred in his voice, trying to hold his anger while shaking his head

"Well I guess we're even now!" I defended myself, hopelessness animating on my face

He kept on looking at me while walking towards his best friend. Blaise and Draco, understanding that Mattheo was probably going to beat up Theodore, got in front of him to stop him.

"Hey guys I can defend myself" Theodore drunkenly said on the sofa not moving a muscle

"Hey man you don't want to start another fight tonight." Draco said to Mattheo, backing him off Theodore

Mattheo finally backed off, throwing a death stare at me. He left without saying anything, towards his room, with Vivienne following him. I let out a nervous chuckle at the situation and joined Draco.

"I'm sorry about bringing drama and all, it's supposed to be a fun night" I apologized to him

"You two really need to sort it out" draco said a bit pissed

"Don't worry, he'll eventually get over it. Besides nothing could come between Theodore and Mattheo"

"It's not about him and Theodore though, it's about him and you" he commented

"Well we're not together whatsoever, so I don't think it should be that complicated" I added

"Exactly" with that Draco left the conversation

I saw Pansy coming toward me
"are you alright?" She asked me

"I'm good, I think I'm heading to bed" I rubbed my eyes, tired

"You can talk to me Ava, you know that" she looked at me with a worried look

"Yeah yeah I know" I responded, leaving the conversation

Suddenly she grabbed my arm and hit me with a harsh question
"Did you relapse?"

"What makes you say that?" I avoided eye contact

"I could see the state you were in..."

"Well I didn't so good night" I denied

"From all people, you know I know to never believe a drug addict" she directly said

"What's your point if I did anyways? What? Are you gonna tell everyone!?" I threatened her with rhetorical questions

"You know I wouldn't" she reassured me

"Go to bed, tomorrow is going to be a tough morning" I rolled my eyes, and walked towards the stairs that led to the rooms.

The next morning I could hear everyone in the corridors packing to take the train back to hogwarts. My head was banging and I could barely open my eyes with the light.

"Hey Pansy, when are we leaving?" I asked rubbing my eyes

"In a hour" she confirmed

"Then why's everybody rushing?" I frowned my eyebrows

"I think some are taking the early train" she answered

I got back into my room to take a shower and pack my things too.
45 minutes later I went outside to take some fresh air and take out my luggage. A few of us were already outside, including Mattheo who was talking to Vivienne while smoking a cigarette. I rolled my eyes, putted my sunglasses on and took a Molly pill to let this day pass by faster and erase the view of the two of them talking together.

"Quiet the show yesterday huh?" Blaise said coming from behind, his voice making me jump

"Tell me about it" I raised my eyebrows
I paused, then started talking again,
"Does vivienne go to hogwarts?" I asked out of the blue, still starring at Mattheo and her talking

"Yup, she's a ravenclaw" Blaise responded, doing the same as me

"Fuck my life" with that I went back inside to make sure I didn't forget anything.

An hour later we were all on board on the train towards hogwarts. I didn't want to go a cabin with anyone for the simple reason that I was high on hard drug. Yes I had my sunglasses but:
-one: I look stupid with them on the train
-second: even with the sunglasses, it is highly noticeable that I'm high

Considering it is impossible to find an empty cabin, I luckily still managed to find a cabin where a student, who I don't even know the name of, was sleeping. So he most probably won't take notice of me...
