surprised to see you in front of my hotel room" I told him showing the card in my hand and the door 

he could have come to absolutely anyone, but the chances of us meeting in this hotel of all in Paris seem impossible to me

"Kika sent me to give something to a friend of hers who works here," he said at the end

but I don't believe him

when he told me the 'reason' he avoided looking into my eyes, he was playing with the zipper on his sweatshirt and his breathing was suddenly faster

I gave him an approving nod, at which point he calmed down and I noticed how his breathing returned to its place

which approved the fact that he was lying to me 

"Pierre, you don't leave from here until you tell me the real reason," I told him, blocking the way

if I find out that he is cheating on Kika, I swear I will break his head and send it as a gift to the whore with whom he would cheat on Kika

"Nicole come on" he said laughin

But I was not laughing

I was talking very serious

he sighed "Charles wrote me to bring you something, I already left it in your room. Charles didn't want you to know about it, so if he's mad at me for telling you, it's only your fault"

after saying goodbye to Pierre, I entered the room, where I found a bouquet of red roses on the bed

when I took them in my hand to put them in the water, something fell on the floor

I quickly took it and read it

parce que je ne pourrai pas être avec toi lors d'un jour aussi important, j'espère pouvoir au moins être avec toi avec mon âme. Je sais à quel point tu aimes les roses rouges, elles ne sont pas autant que tu le mérites, mais elles sont données avec le cœur.

I almost forgot how nice he was every time we sent letters

after Jules, dad and Herve died, we had that period when mom decided we should take a break from going to Monaco, so me and Charles started sending each other letters

we would wrote each other in French, we said it was our language because most of the people in the house when we go in Monaco spoke in English so that Milo who didn't learn French and mother who didn't know it either can understand everything without feeling left out

my father taught me French when I was little so that I could get along with my relatives in France, over time I no longer had to use it, because both my father and most of my relatives, who were few anyway, died

and my mother knows a bit of French, but not much, only the basics, my father teaches her when they were at university

my heart was pounding with happiness and the butterflyes were very excited

this boy makes something incredible out of me 

how can I be mad at him for not being able to make it to the show when he is so nice and apologizes so thoughtfully??

I kept the letter and put the flowers in water

the next morning I was already at the building

for 2 hours all the girls had time to make sure that we will look very beautiful on the runway 

the last show I participated in was 2 months ago, which means that quite a lot of time had already passed, and now, with minutes to go on stage, I had nothing else to do except to pray that nothing wrong would happen

"3..2..1.. Fernandez, go"

I left the place already counting my steps to make sure that I will look good even on the screens

the lights blinded me, an intense white light that made my eyes a very
green

I just hope I don't do the stupid thing of preventing myself and destroying everything

but the show ended well, I left the stage with a big smile that clearly showed I got back with fresh strength
