Sweat dripping from his temple
A flake of stardust in his eyes
He fires the ball toward the net
And for a second it all complies
Chest swelling, beaming brightly
The stadium's cheering out loud
He runs to the corner, looking up,
And points at Celya in the crowd
Knowing she was somewhere up there
Among the sea of unknown faces,
A single diamond in a handful of stones,
Was a feeling of home like no other places
This beautiful girl that only had eyes for him,
And his career striving to such great heights ,
The two things he cherished the most
What more could he really ask?
Isn't it amazing how love drives you
To count your lover's dreams as your own
And their happiness contributes to yours
And their hopes are the hopes you've grown
Cesc never thought those things
Could ever be taken away
He might have overlooked her sighs
And all the times she seemed to stray
And what he didn't really know,
Or maybe he noticed but disregarded
Was that isolated from the crowd, alone
Celya did long for that success
One day to be her own
