chapter 4 ~ maze

couple things without being a couple. the other 3 next to you were used to it, understanding even. both of you were lovey people. you felt the need to show and receive, both willing to give it to each other. sure garreth thought about trying to date you just as you thought about trying to date him. 

you both decided it wasnt a good idea, it was better as friends. sure the future could change that, but it wasnt going to let up soon either way. sebastian didnt like what he was witnessing with you and garreth. 

he knew you always looked at him with hatred in his eyes. but he knew his view on you was changing, he liked you more, thought about you more, looked at you more. his mind was filled with you, wondering why your so beat up now. 

garreth has been telling you all year how prettier your getting, how your face is losing its baby fat. maybe thats why sebastian is noticing you more. you were both thinking about each other. but he thought about you so much more. "earth to y/n, thinking again" garreth spoke moving you head to look at him. and for a second he thought he could see a tear drop. 

"hey, you know. we dont have to stay here" he spoke wiping it away. "just stressed, i feel dirty and grimy. i need a good shower" you said to him. you could see his eyes scanning your face to connect back with yours. your cheeks on his hands, and there it was his soft sweet smile. 

once everything was paid for and drank everyone left. you still stuck in the middle with garreth holding your hand. "i do not get it, why not get together?" natty spoke up looking at the both of you. "just not for us i guess" garreth said getting a nod from you. "we have been asking that for what 5 years now" poppy said with a laugh. 

while all of you went to look at the stars sebastian sat there with his cup. 

"your quiet, never would i hear the day" ominis spoke getting a look from sebastian. "i dont get it, garreth is like a fucking genius with her but the second i try she looks at me like im a horrible person" sebastian spoke trying to get some insight. "you are to her, dont think 5 years of doing stupid shit to her is going to fix that" ominis spoke the truth sebastian chose to ignore anyway. 

"i can try, but garreth is the problem, those two are like a school of fish" sebastian had slouched back into his seat trying to think. "there isnt any possible way to unless i can somehow rip them apart" 

ominis had a face of shock from sebastians sentence. "rip them apart are you mad?" ominis asked slightly irked. "not like that, but separate them for a time period so i can talk to her" sebastian cleared himself. "and you think shes going to be around long enough for you to have a conversation?" ominis asked. 

"ill follow her to where ever she goes then, it would give us time alone and i can help with what shes doing." sebastian thought this was the most logical. "something tells me by how much shes coming back hurt tells me thats a bad idea. you said the black eye was harlow. meaning shes in direct line of him"ominis spoke which made so many thoughts run through Sebastian's head. 

'what if harlow is the one finding her? what is there that he cant see? what is she hiding?' 

sebastian didnt like how all of his thoughts surrounded you. even asking anne when he saw her yesterday after the whole thing, she brought up the fact that her brother might like her. sebastian being sebastian didnt want to believe it. but the more he thought about it the more he started to think it was true.

he never looked at anyone the same way he looked at you, never wanted anyone to look at him so much the way he wants you to. never wanted to touch someone the way he wanted to do with you. the girls he had been with were for him to get the attention he was looking for. 

"why dont i feel like the girls i get with dont give me the same feeing" sebastian asked ominis. "because they arent giving you what your looking for. we go through this all the time sebastian" ominis answered him.
