chapter 4 ~ maze

it was friday presumably your only day to rest. you told harlow you wouldnt be able to and he allowed it to you ever so much. you think he felt bad, you also thought he liked having you around. 

garreth was the one to walk you. to my dorm getting looked at by all the slytherins around. once you both entered your dorm he seemed to calm down a bit. you had to quickly put on makeup. hide the black eye harlow had given you. garreth wasnt happy that you had it either, tried to ask why but you fell asleep. 

"so how did you get it y/n" garreth asked once more. "harlow, i got a lead and went with austin to the cave, harlow came and i made sure austin was safe. i wasnt" you spoke trying to quickly put on the makeup. you failed at it cause you could still tell, it was swollen. "accio glasses" garreth had magically spawned in a pair of glasses which he disfigured for you. even hid the eye with paper. 

you could wear them and not have to worry about people seeing it as much. so when you went to breakfast you saw everyone there, you started to wonder why you even decided to go to classes today. "i think i should go to the wing garreth" you said dragging him there. 

the lady saw your eye and sat you in the chair. with a little flick and swish you were set to get better soon. you still needed to ice it and she wrapped it so you didnt have to worry about it. 

"i look stupid" you said facing garreth trying to fix it to make it look better and when you did you threw your hood up on your robe. you could attend class. sebastian didnt make it easy for you and garreth. if you laid your head on garreth sebastian would throw paper at you both. 

if you talked to him sebastian made sure to interrupt, sebastian made it his goal to try and split the 2 of you. sure he saw the bandage and remembered seeing it last night. but he wanted you away from garreth for his own personal reasons. 

he didnt know why he didnt like you talking to other guys, he didnt understand why he saw garreth as a threat. sebastian knew deep inside that he wanted you to only be with him and him alone. 

sebastian understood you didnt like him, and with your current state he couldnt be gentle even if he wanted to. it was like him to be rough. even when girls came up kissing him you would look to look away. sebastian saw you looking and he never wanted you to look away. 

it was the last split second when both of you were leaving classes for the day your eyes met with his. his golden brown eyes seemed to soften a little more. sebastian felt like his body froze, he didnt know what to feel. 

sebastian couldnt even stop thinking about how he touched your face last night, he didnt want another thing to keep him up at night. so he turned to more girls, more girls to get it off his mind. 

you and garreth could only sit there and watch it happen at the lunch table. "i think ive lost my appetite" you spoke watching sebastian kiss the girl next to him. he looked at you while you held a face of disgust. "someone said it was impossible to touch your elbows together" poppy said sitting next to us. "is it?" you asked trying it and failing. "i can do it" poppy spoke smacking her elbows together. you kept trying only for garreth to stop you. "i was getting close" 

sebastian watched it all play, garreth leaning in and telling you what the main intent was. he felt angry. 

"thats perverted" you said only to see poppy looking shocked. poor innocent child was the only thing running through your mind. you wish to be innocent like her, shes been through it all, but she kept it. you had watched people suffer, people die, things die, creatures. you had to. 

your eyes met with sebastians as the girl next to him was trying to get his attention. you thought he was a man whore, sure you werent much better you could get anyone you choose to, but you dont.
